My ONLY guess... would be Pat Summit?? Because we've talked about her on here before. And since there were no options that's what I've come up with!!

Darn it, I haven't gotten mine yet!

So, I guess you're saying that without knowing it -- I've asked an easy question??!?

Cutie_Hootie 06-27-2007 11:10 AM

Yes, I got the new issue yesterday and it's awesome!!! I'm proud to mention that there is a photo of my chapter house (Upsilon Lambda) on page 40. :)

There are some great articles about Housing, and some great facts.

Here's one:

Which of the following Chi Omega homes is NOT listed on the National Register of Historic Places?

a. Kappa Beta/Rhodes College
b. Lambda/University of Kansas
c. Theta Beta/Indiana University
d. Psi/University of Arkansas
e. Psi Alpha/University of Oregon

Hmmm...I'm gonna guess.

I know Kappa Beta, Psi & Psi Alpha all are...not sure about Lambda, but they do have that great Chi Omega fountain on campus...

I'll say c.) Theta Beta?

NutBrnHair 06-27-2007 12:30 PM

By the way...

Very nicely done, Nutbrn!! You are correct--Theta Beta is not one of the houses on the Historic Register. All four of the others are listed. :)

Which statement is true about the charters for Chi Omega's early chapters?

a.) They were quite simple, printed on average paper entirely in red ink
b.) It was too expensive to mail them around for each Council member to sign, so Ida Pace Purdue, S.H. had samples of their signatures and traced over them.
c.) Only one early charter exists today, that of Sigma Chapter from Randolph-Macon Woman's College, founded in 1899.
d.) The names of the charter members were written by hand.
e.) All of the above.

Felicity 07-10-2007 11:35 AM

I'm going to guess e - all of the above because I know a c & d are true. :)

NutBrnHair 07-10-2007 11:47 AM

That's the way to answer a multiple choice question! Good reasoning, Felicity!

You wanna ask a question?

Felicity 07-10-2007 12:18 PM

Chi Omegas everywhere know and love Cardinal and Straw. Which of the following color combos are also associated with Chi Omega:

A) Indigo, Royal Purple, Deep Olive, Neutral, Gold and Pomegranate
B) Blue, Purple, Green, Yellow and Bright Pink
C) Robin, Spring Green, Neutral, Summer Yellow and Pink
D) All of the above
E) None of the above, only Cardinal and Straw are acceptable.

NutBrnHair 07-10-2007 02:40 PM

I am going to have to answer: E!

Cardinal & straw all the way.

NutBrnHair 07-10-2007 04:12 PM

Nah, that's okay...I'm "old school"

"We love the cardinal...we love the straw..."

I'll let someone else guess.

I'll go with A since the colors have such vibrant and descriptive names. ;)

The correct answer is D) All of the above

In December 2005 Executive Headquarters released a Visual Standards Guide which included 3 supporting color palettes to be used as secondary resources for design, matching letterhead and other card and paper stock. The first palette (Formal) was designed with formal and official publications in mind. You will notice some of these colors on the newly redesigned website, as well as in the Eleusis. The second palette (Fun) is intended for internal audiences or light-hearted pieces (such as summer alumnae events or celebratory announcements). The third palette (Fresh) offers a more muted, but light set of colors suitable for afternoon event invitations, spring announcements or light-hearted news. Using the Visual Standards Guide helps create clear and consistent communications that accurately reflect Chi Omega's classic, steadfast character.

Then I'll go with C. On the website it doesn't say she has a Chi Omega daughter and it also doesn't say "has three sons". :)

I was thinking the same thing...I mean NATIONAL president and then the daughter doesn't go Chi O... I mean no pressure to join or anything ;)

But she still has a year before any recruitment or anything....how interesting of a legacy is that ... hehe :D

NutBrnHair 07-20-2007 01:49 PM
