At the movies this week, it’s X-Men III: The Last Stand. Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry lead an all-star cast. And, for all of those who have complained that Halle’s character “Storm” never had anything to do, get ready for “Storm, the leader.” Halle shines with her new look, and she looks fierce flying through the air.

Does Beyonce have to watch her back? Beyonce’s boyfriend Rapper/Record Mogul/Basketball Franchise Owner Jay-Z has been spending a lot of time with his protégé, 18-year old teen sensation Rihanna. The whispers have turned into a roar. In her music videos, Rihanna has taken on Beyonce's look, her style and her sound. Now it appears she may be after her man. Beyonce has been very quiet about her relationship with Jay-Z. But, at a recent New Jersey Nets basketball game, Beyonce went off on Jay-Z after he stayed on the phone with Rihanna for a long time. What is Jay thinking? Does Rihanna just want to be a sidechick? Beyonce is at the peak of her career right now. She has a new album coming out this fall, and her new movie Dreamgirls, with Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy and Jennifer Hudson, arrives in theatres this Christmas. The movie is based on the 1980 Broadway musical. The movie teaser was the crowd favorite at last week’s Cannes Film Festival. Everyone who saw the 20 minute teaser raved about it. There is Oscar buzz on this movie already, and I hear Jennifer Hudson, who lost out to Fantasia on American Idol, is amazing in the role made famous by Jennifer Holliday.

Babyface is breathing a sigh of relief after being rescued from an extortionist. A 23-year old Indianapolis man was trying to blackmail the singer/songwriter/producer. He claimed he was Babyface's long lost illegitimate son, and he wanted $9 million to keep quiet. Police caught the guy when he went to collect a bogus $9 million check. He was immediately charged with felony theft and misdemeanor intimidation. I guess he figured Babyface had money to spare since he gave his wife Tracey Edmonds $70 million in a divorce settlement.

Where’s Nicole Murphy’s boyfriend Alan Daniels? Daniels was a businessman from Atlanta who was hot and heavy with Nicole. Since her divorce settlement from Eddie Murphy, Daniels has been missing in action. Eddie never liked this man. Sources say Daniels was a male golddigger. Eddie fought with Nicole because he didn’t want his money to wind up in Daniels’ hands. Nicole appeared to be in love with Daniels. They couldn’t their hands off each other in public, and she seemed very happy. Did Nicole have to give up Alan to get her money from Eddie? Was this part of the divorce agreement and settlement? Nicole got a sizeable amount of Eddie’s fortune, and she has been very quiet and suddenly single ever since.

Nicole Richie is single again. Lionel’s daughter has struck out in love again with DJ AM, a.k.a. Adam Goldstein. I hear the wedding has been called off for a second time and sources say Goldstein is not going back. It’s déjà vu for the couple all over again as they continue to battle over her weight (she’s too thin), her partying and her unhealthy extracurricular activities. DJ AM is moving on. He just landed the job as the DJ on The Ellen Degeneres Show. Ellen’s longtime DJ Tony Okungbowa recently left the show to return to London.

If Star Jones loses her job on the ABC talker The View, guess who’s going to have to get a job? Our guy Al! Al Reynolds was an investment banker when he met Star Jones. But, shortly after meeting her, he quit his job. Al lives a fabulous life working out, parties, clothes, shopping and events. Who has time for a job? Having a great lifestyle is a job. Barbara Walters wants Star off the show. With Rosie O’Donnell coming on board, there may not be room for all the egos. Star’s people are looking for another gig for her, but nobody wants her. Lately, Star has been extra nice to the staff on The View, but sources say it’s too late. They have had enough of the nonsense, and they want her off the show. Al is terrified about having to go to work. What will they do if she leaves the show? She is job hunting as we speak.

Mary Wilson of The Supremes fame recently underwent bypass heart surgery. Last week the 62-year old Wilson suffered a heart attack.

Congrats to Mo’nique! The popular Actress/Comedienne got married over the weekend to Sidney Hicks, the father of her newborn twins. She’s also coming to the area this summer. Mo’nique will be at the House of Blues in Atlantic City on July 8th.

Bobby Brown is currently filming new episodes for a second season of Being Bobby Brown. But, the question remains: will the Bravo network show the episodes? Last summer, the Bravo network had boffo ratings with the first season, but this year they are hesitant about the project. They want Whitney Houston, but Whitney and Bobby are separated, and she will not be a part of the new season. The second season of Being Bobby Brown will star his kids and his sister Tina (she’s the one who sold out Whitney to the Tabloids). I don’t blame the Bravo network. I want to see Whitney too. She made the show, but I understand she has to get it together.

The Disney hit show That’s So Raven is getting a spinoff. Corey in The House will feature Kyle Massey, who plays Raven’s younger brother. The spinoff stars Kyle and his TV dad “Victor” (Rondell Sheridan). The show kicks off in November with the father and son adjusting to life in the White House after Victor is chosen as personal chef to the President.

Is Reggie Bush of the New Orleans Saints dating Actress Nia Long? Reps for both sides won’t comment. Well Nia, if you are, GO GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!! He is so fine.

Dave Chappelle's Block Party movie is coming out on DVD June 13th.

Mariah Carey is going on tour. The Adventures of Mimi: The Hits, The Voice, The Tour is coming to the Wachovia Center on August 11th.

Singer Chaka Khan has designed a Jewelry line. The line will be sold exclusively on the QVC Channel.

Brandy has got a new show courtesy of American Idol’s Simon Cowell. The Singer will be a judge on his new NBC show America’s Got Talent. The show kicks off on June 21st. Baywatch’s David Hasselhoff will also be a judge, and Regis Philbin will be the host of the show.

Now that the WB and UPN networks have folded and joined forces, the new channel, the CW network, has unveiled their new lineup. America’s Next Top Model will air on Wednesday Night. Sunday will be black night with Everybody Hates Chris, All of Us and Girlfriends, minus Jill Marie Jones (“Toni”), all airing on that night. Girlfriends is embarking on their 7th season. How can they do without Jill Marie Jones’ “Toni?” She’s coming to Philly in a couple of weeks. I will have to ask her why she’s leaving the show. In other TV news, The FOX network has cancelled The Bernie Mac Show. They ruined this show when they kept moving it’s time slot. Vanessa L. Williams will be co-starring on a new show on ABC called Bette, The Ugly. It’s about the world of high fashion, and Taye Diggs is getting a show on ABC, a detective drama called Daybreak.

Is Soul Train Creator Don Cornelius having financial problems? He is in the midst of a divorce with his young Russian wife. He would make a ton of money if he released the old Soul Train episodes on DVD.

Singer Roberta Flack is going to be the music supervisor on the movie, The Life Story of Marvin Gaye. Filming starts later this year. This will be the second of two projects in the works about Marvin Gaye. Jesse L. Martin of Law and Order fame will be starring in the movie Sexual Healing, which will focus on the last years of Marvin’s Life.

Toni Braxton starts her highly anticipated Las Vegas gig on August 3rd. Toni Braxton Revealed will be performed six days a week at the Flamingo Showroom in Vegas. She will have lots of costumes, dancers, performing artists and a mini orchestra.

Vivica A. Fox is doing well after her recent breast reduction surgery. She has been photographed lately with a hot new hunk, but in the pictures, she looks strange like she had something done to her lips as well as her breasts.

How sexy is Prince. He was recently voted the world’s sexiest vegetarian.

Oprah Winfrey is going to publish a fitness book with her personal trainer Bob Greene. The book deal is said to be the richest non-fiction book deal in history. The deal is worth over $12 million and the book is due in January.

The Queen of All Media Wendy Williams is about to release her third book and first novel. Drama Is Her Middle Name: The Ritz Harper Chronicles Volume 1 is due out on June 20th. Wendy’s previous books include Wendy’s Got The Heat and The Wendy Williams Experience.

This young woman is married to a NBA Superstar. She has reason to believe that she can’t trust her husband. This Baller has cheated on his wife before. After embarrassing her a couple of years ago, he promised her he would change. Over the past few weeks, he started a friendship with a reality TV Star. The Reality Star wants to be a major star, but she doesn’t realize that being a Ho is not the way to go. Word has it the Baller and the Reality Star are having an affair. He says they are just friends because she is involved with one of his friends. Well, the wife wants proof.....she wants the reality Star to publicly deny an affair with the Baller. But, the Reality Star won’t do it because she loves the controversy.

Stephanie Mills will be teaming up with Melba Moore in the stage musical If These Hats Could Talk, June 13-18th at the Merriam Theatre. The musical is based on the life of Civil Rights Pioneer Dr. Dorothy Height.

The BET Awards air June 27th with Host Damon Wayans. Nominees include Yolanda Adams, Kirk Franklin, Mary J. Blige, Jamie Foxx, Denzel Washington, Terrence Howard, Queen Latifah and Alfre Woodard. Chaka Khan will be getting the Lifetime Achievement Award.
