Enough of that! No reason to say stuff like that.

Um, the "lay off the bottle" comment was warranted. I hope he wasn't sober when he called women loose for being concerned about birth control and insinutated that we're not acting like adults. Frankly, that's offensive.

Lay off the bottle. Seriously. In case you didn't know, it takes two to have a baby. Men should be just as interested in birth control. And are women who choose to have sex loose? What about the men?
There is no such thing as a loose man, man-whore, or man-ho. They are usually called playas, pimps, or simply "The Man".

Women just call them "diseased."

When he says stuff like that there is.

It seems like there's a double-standard here. So, men who have sex with lots of people are pimps and should be respected, but the women who have sex with lots of people are whores and shouldn't be? How does that make sense?

It doesn't, which is why women are better off to ignore the idiots who say shit like that. Men only call experienced women whores or sluts because they're insecure that an experienced woman won't be impressed by their, um, technique, etc.

I disagree. I don't subscribe to the whole theory that girls can't get go out and get some but I know a lot of guys that do judge girls by the amount of their partners.

I remember a friend of mine that dated a girl for like 3 years and told me point blank that he would never marry her because she slept with him on the first date.

I know some of you ladies are going to howl that its unfair or that none of the guys YOU know believe that (men lie you know), but its actually a common thing among males. ITs not fair but its true.

My advice to women that are promiscious, if he is stupid enough to ask, and I don't ask personally (it being none of my business), lie.

Not to further the hijack of this thread, but...

Actually, in my opinion, there's not. A high number of partners seems like it's something accepted by the same sex, but rejected by the opposite sex. In other words, a guy's friends won't be upset if he's had a lot of partners, but a woman who gets involved with him would be more likely to find a problem with it. Same thing the other way around; a girl's friends will (most likely) be more accepting of how many partners she has than her next potential partner.

Also - so if a woman calls a man a man-whore or something along those lines, she's being insecure as well, right? There are plenty of times I've heard girls discourage their friends from dating guys because "he gets around" or "he's been with everybody."

I'm not judging it either way - to each their own.

I don't think that's true at all. A girl's friends are the people whose opinion she may be concerned about the most. Most girls would not be accepting of another girl who's had a good number of sexual partners.
Contrary to popular belief, females and their friends are not all just like the Sex and the City characters

Oh, I know very well that not every group of friends is like the group from "SATC." I was just saying it works both ways. Maybe saying "most" was overstating it a bit on my part.

I value the opinions of my best friends, but I also know that they don't care HOW many men I sleep with as long as I am happy and stay safe.

Plus, my best friends are both married, so they like to live vicariously through me. :p
