The funny thing is... film is much more expensive!

Yeah they are using film now instead of video. I really dont mind it -- just going to take a little adjusting but I like how realistic it is. Over time our eyes will not even notice it, you know?

I think it's just what you're used to. Personally, I love film. It's grainier, gives more depth, and is richer.

Everything used to be on film.. and I'll never forget seeing "All in the Family" and remarking-- "I don't like that.. what's so different about it? It looks so.. fake!" It was one of the first shows to use video tape!

I hope this sends a trend and everything starts going back to film.

Well most people don't like change but overtime get use to it so I think that it will just take time for us all to get use to it.

I can't believe they arrested Di yesterday -- do you think she was involved? What evidence did they have against her? And what about JR? Why did he say he wsa the one to murder Madden?

Lots has been going on -- Lily and Jonathan? I knew this was going to happen -- I really feel sorry for both of them. It is so sad. I know what Jonathan did was wrong but I truly believe that he did it out love for Lily. What do you think?

I'm watching. Yeah.. the Lily Jonathon thing is sad. I hope they get back together.

Do you think Zach and Dixie really did away with Dr. Madden.. or is that just too obvious? "Who done it??"

I dont know! I was trying to figure this out myself but it would make sense if it was her...she has the motives, you know?

What about Josh and Babe? Do you think Babe will cheat on JR with Josh? I have a feeling that it is going to happen, just because she lied to JR about hanging with Josh -- you can just see it in her eyes. thoughts?

I'm so over the Babe and JR tensions.. but I don't like the Josh character either, and don't want to see them in the hay together. I had heard that Jacob Young who plays JR is leaving the show. I hope that's just a rumor, because I really like his character (plus he's quite easy on the eyes!)... so if he is indeed leaving (again, this is just rumor in Soap Operaville!)-- then maybe the writers will put Josh and Babe together. (hope not!)

Have you noticed that Reggie has been missing? I wonder if Jack has even noticed he's gone!

The storylines have been kind of flat of late. I don't really care about the Kate story, and FF through all of that.

Julia Barr Exiting ALL MY CHILDREN

30 years after joining the Pine Valley ranks, two-time Daytime Emmy winner Julia Barr is leaving ALL MY CHILDREN when her contract expires in December.
The actress opted to leave rather than accept the show's offer to remain as a recurring player. She said in a statement, "It has been a wonderful job for me on every level, and a great ensemble of actors with whom I had the pleasure to work. I am so proud to have been a part of a show that was once a television icon. I want the fans to know how much I truly appreciate all of their love, support, loyalty and enthusiasm over the years." As for her future plans, she added, "There are a few things I am considering and a whole new chapter ahead, which I am looking forward to."

Not surprised she's leaving since they haven't written for her character in months. The show has become unwatchable. Instead of using great characters that we care about, like Brooke, we have to see Colby or Josh everyday. I love how she said the show "was once a television icon". So true.

Noooooooooo! I love Brooke! But I can't blame her, she has gotten fewer and fewer storylines and face time on AMC.

It's now "all about Babe." UGH! Babe.. go away!

The writers don't seem to understand that us faithful watchers love the characters that have been with us for years... Tad, Dr. Dave, Dr. Joe, Brooke, Adam, Stuart, Myrtle, Erica, etc. etc.

Instead, they're throwing all the storylines to newbies that none of us care about. It's no wonder their ratings are in the dumper.

that's sad to hear... i completely agree with blueangel - all these current storylines with these new actors/actresses are a bunch of baloney, especially since we all know that none of these kids will last half as long as the oldies have.

I read that Simone and Erin are leaving too. There's going to be a serial killer offing people. Very original.

I just started watching not too long ago. Who is Brooke?

I hate to hear that about Brooke. I started watching AMC when it first started, but have not watched in a couple of years. I tried to watch it the other day and I hardly knew any of the characters. I want the old familiar ones back. Many of the new ones seemed pretty lame.
