Thanks for the info. I can't use that stuff that has caffeine in it. It has me all jittery. Besides, I only want to lose a little around the middle section to try to get more of an hourglass...trying to hold on to the rest. Most pills cause a person to lose all over.

When it came to weight loss, ECA stacks (xenadrine, ripped fuel, etc.) were really the only things that worked. But they were banned over the whole ephedrine issue. I am using another product that is supposed to be pretty good. It's called Hot-Rox. So far I'm feeling a little edgy...They have several versions and all that. I buy mine through the Vitamin Shop.

Thought I'd share

I know everyone doesn't agree with Atkins but I started March 1 and have lost 20 pounds so far. My goal is 30 more and I'll be straight. i'm 5"7 so I can carry the weight but I refuse to buy any more bigger clothes! I also walk/jog 3 miles every other day-but I've only been doing that for the past 2 weeks. I do a slightly modified version, meaning I do eat carbs, just not alot. I eat absolutely no sugar, and if I do, its not alot and I walk it off. But most of the time I don't have sugar for health reasons. I feel great, my clothes are too big, and I'm eating heathier which is a plus. I'm not losing as fast because I still eat carbs, I just don't over do it. Mostly just chicken, fish, salads & little to no sugar. Oh and lots and lots of water!!

Soror, I have done the Atkins diet off and on since 99 and I agree that it does work! I now do a modified version as well that seems to work very well...I cut out sugar almost completely from my diet. What I've found is that when I do that, I can still eat the starches and the breads w/out gaining weight...and I don't exercise at all with it. Of course, I need to do so, just to keep my health in check but that's another subject.

Has anyone tried Abgone and and did it work. I'm taking the green tea pills to help curve my eating. It does not seem to be doing anything, because I'm still always hungry.

christiangirl 07-29-2005 06:19 PM

Maybe because it takes longer for pills to get into your system? I have been having mad cravings all morning, usually I'm not that hungry, but I've been struggling not to eat up the whole kitchen today. I just had a cup of green tea and now I'm straight. It was hard to force it down since it's not sweet at all, but I'm right full if I do say so myself.

I found an article on AbGONE if anyone else decides they want to try it. You have to scroll down a bit before it starts.

I've tried Abgone as well but it did not work for me at all. Not to mention, that mess screws up your metabolism.

Actually, I have been eating 5 small meals throughout the day. (Well in reality, the meal before lunch and dinner are actually snacks that are fruits or veges.)

I have been eating 5 meals a day and working out to Billy Blanks Boot Camp Tae Bo (25-30 minutes) for almost three weeks and I can see results. (I know I sound like an infomercial but I am serious).

Good Luck.

Has anyone recenlty tried optifast, or any other medically supervised liquid diet plan??????

True18 12-19-2005 06:56 PM

I can't say I've tried a liquid diet, but I too have a question...

Because I know no discipline when it comes to food, I've decided to replace my usual lunches and dinners with Lean Cuisine meals (because, according to the labels, they're MUCH healthier than my usual choices and because they taste darn good!).

I'm hoping that this will make me more mindful of portion sizes and ingredient choices when I come off my cooking hiatus. I was delighted that my first Lean Cuisine lunch (roasted turkey with apples and cornbread dressing... mmmmm....) tasted great, but incredibly frustrated that I was still hungry after I finished. Now I make sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day and with my meals, and the meals leave me satisfied.

Has anyone else gone on a kind of "pre-packaged meal" plan? What were the results? Were you able to translate these kinds of meals into your cooking?

Meridia

Get you some Meridia from your doctor. I am on my first month's prescription and my tight jeans are getting baggy. You hardly have an appetite and you get full real fast. If you try to over eat you will feel really sick. I simply eat pretty much what I want and exercise a few days a week. It would really work well if you are eating right and exercising. Talk to your doctor about it.

i haven't tried a meal plan, but i often eat the lean cuisine for lunch and feel hungry after too. it will take a little while to get used to the smaller portions, but it gets better. you can also get a snack to eat afterwards.....yogurt, granola bar, fruit (the little fruit cups are good for snacks), etc. they can make an amazing difference! be sure to eat slow b/c it is easy to gulp those things down. it takes your body a little time to realize it has eaten, which means if you eat fast, you will still feel really hungry after you are done. take your time and then don't eat a snack for about 30-60 minutes after.

I'm going to ask mine about this. Before my pregnancy I lost 16lbs with Fastin, but the side effect was it affected my asthma - which had been dormant.

I have found that with my LC meals, if I add 1 cup of green salad (lettuce, carrots, or veggies) to my meal, I'm usually full and satisfied.

Me too. That, or eat an apple as "dessert"

Has anyone done nutrisystem? They're running a special that actually seems like a good deal. I'm just worried that I would get bored eating their food.
