I called my mom on the way home. Gas in Cleveland is 3.26 unleaded.

Yep! My hubby ran & got gas earlier today. This is so horrible.

I can't believe this mess! I'm reading this and I can't help but ask myself how we got into this situation. The only answer I can come up with is all this has happened since bush took office. 9/11, Uneccesary war, gas prices, and the list goes on.... Did america not put itself here though..... Everyone who voted for bush should really be questioning their logic for that decision right about now...

I AGREE! I've never heard of such foolishness. You know, I posted something in the chit chat forum about how Bush has been on a 5 wk "working vacation". WHATEVER! That just means he was on call. Yes, I'm still ranting that he has taken over 340 days off. NOW, he decides to come back.

Whatever happened to the concept of being proactive? No, you cannot predict the extent of damage a storm will cause (but wait - then again - you actually can guess!!!!), but can we be a little more prepared so that we are not in the danger of "running out of gas"? What kind of hot mess is this ????? http://www.websmileys.com/sm/mad/617.gif

I just sat looking at Bush today, disgusted. And yes, I voted. I got my very big & pregnant belly up early, walked into the polls, got me a chair, and stood/ scooted in that long line to try to get him out of office (forget about the crazy looks that I was getting).

****breathe****On a lighter note - did anyone see Bush flub over the words "contribute cash" & say something like "gertributgash"? I kept rewinding my TiVo and cracking up... The person standing behind him had been smiling & nodding the whole time, but when that happened, he looked like

Hope its helpful! Lowest Gas Prices in your area (city, state)

The cheapest so far in atlanta is 2.47 on Lawrenceville hwy. I dont know if i wanna drive that far, but i may. I normally depend on the gas station right by where i live but i went there after work and it looked like musical chairs with cars, everyone was driving around the pumps seeing the handwritten sign .. out of gas and it was 2.49!

Travelling for business yesterday, it was $3.09/unleaded in Columbus. I've been filling my personal car in half-tank (or less) increments.

I saw this woman the other day who was fueling a Hummer. I know this chick wanted to cry. Her knees were all wobbly-like going into pay.

Scare in SoCal

Last night, my tank was half full.
This morning, I fire up my 5-year-old, 134K mile-pushing Mazda, and it says her tank is empty.
So I go to the Chevron on the corner and get $12 worth. Price is $2.96 a gallon there. Then restart the car, and it shows the accurate tank level (yeah, the fuse may be jacked up).
Finish at Costco, and the gas is $2.86 a gallon.
:D

$3.45 this morning. Are you *&^$$## kidding me? Sigh.

3.19 so far today in Atlanta

Atlanta Journal constitution
Panic drives gasoline up and out

From late morning to early afternoon, the highest area price for regular doubled briefly from about $2.70 a gallon to more than $5 a gallon. A BP station in McDonough hit $5.87, according to AtlantaGasPrices.com. Four dollars a gallon became common. There were numerous reports late Wednesday of stations' closing, or shutting down their pumps. Some stations capped purchases. At a Midtown Chevron that announced a 10-gallon limit on purchases "due to the fuel shortage,"

The governor urged calm and expressed faith in market-regulated prices. Four and a half hours later, he declared a state of emergency. Even the experts didn't have answers. "I don't want to scare the public to death, because I don't have a crystal ball," said Roger T. Lane, president of the Georgia Oilmen's Association, which represents distributors. "Gasoline is in tight supply."

Tammy Crowe of Dallas was waiting in line at a gas station in Lithia Springs when she saw another motorist pull a gun.

People had been waiting for a half-hour and were edgy when a man in a bronze car cut off a motorcyclist, Crowe said.

" 'Hey, wait a minute. I've been waiting here,' " the motorcyclist admonished the line-breaker, Crowe said. The two men began arguing.

Then the man in the car pulled a handgun out of his pocket, Crowe said. "It was big."

A gas station employee yelled, "You want to go to jail?" and pulled out a cellphone.

The man put the weapon away and said he wanted to get back in line.

"No," the employee said. "Leave." He did.

Crowe heard a woman who was waiting say, "It ain't worth my life to get gas. We just need to pray."

so what you're saying is you now have a full tank? in these times, that fact alone may get you jacked.

CT4, that graphic is EXACTLY how I feel about this gas right now. How can you afford to do anything else when you're paying $50 to fill up your tank a week? This is not a good thing...
