These two girls in Anchorage did this and won. In Alaska no one bats an eye as there is an annual "Duct Tape Ball".

I know we are supposed to be about scholarship, but I don't think I could wear a "duct tape" suit... at least not to the prom. Maybe just at the photoshoot to show that I had made one and to get the money... but I wouldn't actually be wearing it during the prom.

Its about that time of year again....PROM. Please don't let your daughters, sisters or students walk out the house in any of the dresses in this thread!!!!

   Do schools allow this?!!!

I saw something on the internet about that dress a few months ago. Supposedly a model put it on backwards by mistake walking down the runway, but people liked it so much that they're marketing it that way. SMH:rolleyes:

Did you go to your prom?

Yep.

What did you wear? Colors?

I had a one strapped gown and the color was a pastel yellow. I still have it too!

Were you prom king/queen?

Since our prom was shared with another school, we did not have Prom King and Queen.

Did you go with someone special or friend?

I went with my then boyfriend. It was fun but I was soo sleepy when it was over.

What was your prom theme?

I can barely remember the day of the week let alone a theme from 5 years ago!

How much did your prom cost?

Lets see... prom dress was made for $60, shoes, $30, hair and nails $70. After party... Priceless!:p

Did you go to your prom?
Yes I went. It was May 2002.

What did you wear?
I wore this long gold dress with a major split up the front, my entire back was out. But what was keeping me in the dress where the straps that looked like golden ropes and they crisscrossed across my back and my front. The sides of my stomach were out too. The design of the dress almost reminded you of a coke bottle shape, or maybe that was just me. :)

Colors?
Our prom colors were lavender and silver.

Were you prom king/queen?
I ran for court but did not make it. But two of my bestfriends were on court which was wonderful.

Did you go with someone special or friend?
I went with a friend. The guy I was dating at the time, it was too short of notice for me to ask him. Plus the guy that was my friend had two jobs so he could pay for a lot more stuff. The only downfall to my plan was that I didn't want to dance with my friend and he was getting on my nerves. And that night I could tell he was sexually attracted to me. But I let him know from jump, HELL NO we weren't having sex.

What was your prom theme?
Drifting on a Memory. It was really pretty.

How much did your prom cost? Some proms now have ish prices?

I really don't remember how much the actual ticket costs because I didn't buy them. I remember my hair was like $50, my toes and fingers were like $52, and for MAc to do my makeup it was $25.
