I know Alias, photoshop, and Rhino, but this is some of my work when I was just a 2nd year student, before folks were using 3D modelling. Back then we used marker, pastels, prisma color pencils, vellum and baby powder. I did this work as a second year student when you and your boy Dias were pissing and shitting diapers.

(Yea, I'm late. I'm just now starting to get into tablets.)

Live-in just got the iPad today. I sense my sex life slipping away and my nights being filled with the glow of the screen from now on.

Nah I'm waiting, myself. Right now there's not a reason for me to switch to a tablet that is essentially a bigger phone and a smaller laptop. I'd like to see what happens in like, 3-4 years with them. If they become more function than fun I'm in.

(Yes they're functional, just not the way my phone or my laptop is.)

The only reason I'm interested in tablets period is because my job is giving away 2 iPads lol

I take my laptop to work daily and carry it around whenever I travel. I need to be connected, but don't want to have to carry it around everywhere. I think a tablet would be easier (and if I get the PlayBook, much smaller).

My phone connects me for all the basic stuff, I can read on my Nook and my laptop is needed for gaming. I just don't have a mid-level need. The Nook just keeps me from hauling books around.

Now if it were FREE.. it'd be different ;)

Oh I am sure u guys here heard about them. Got an iPad 2 last year about this time, got a Slingbox when they went on sale in November and just got a PS Vita for my bday a few weeks ago.

Slingbox is awesome.

PS Vita simply put is the new portable playstation unit...has most of the power of a PS3.

A Slingbox is almost heaven. Imagine a box that you can connect to your cable box and stream live TV or whatever you have DVRed to your laptop or mobile device anywhere on the planet...as long as you have a good signal.

A few caveats being that you may have to spend a little extra to get other pieces of equipment to work and also the apps are pricey.

BUT, when it works, it really shines.

When I went work Saturday, I asked about it, and one of the LVTs I work with said there's like a monthly charge for it. I dunno, maybe she was confused. Is there an additional charge to use it?

No...there is NO MONTHLY CHARGE to use it. None at all and never has been.

You pay for the slingbox itself, you pay for the apps and you pay for any extra pieces you may need and that is it.

You set it up and off to the races you go.
