Eh, I think it's a cute thread and people realize that most of this stuff isn't necessary. I like to see what people are wearing all over the country.

Oh, don't beat yourself up. No matter how much or how little you spent, no one has work appropriate clothes right after you get out of college. That's what black everything is for.

Me too! I come from a really casual area, so it's fun to see what everyone else is buying for back to school. I hope you guys don't think I'm one of those people who drop a$$loads on "neccessities." That's what Ebay is for. :D

Actually we're entirely aware of who Kate Spade is in Canada. Aside from Greeks and not only because she's a Kappa but because she has some really cute bags and home accessories.

I'm not against owning any of these things (trust me I'm a fashion major and would die to own some vintage Chanel) but I would just like to second the notion of those who have posted that these things aren't nessisary and not the real idea behind a soroity. Speaking as a converted anti-soroity girl who was won over by the acceptance and open-heartedness of the Chi-O's the only true nessessity is...

Sisterhood:
from simply always having someone to walk to class with to the best friends who will be there to listen to you gush over your new guy when you come home at 4 AM to the thrill of meeting a sister from another school and the instant connection.

this is why I joined a soroity and all I really need.:)

(though the diamonds and pearls ect. would be nice)
