NEW YORK (AP) -- Usher is engaged to his longtime girlfriend, stylist Tameka Foster, the R&B singer's spokeswoman said Friday.

Publicist Simone Smalls didn't provide further details.

Usher, a five-time Grammy winner, confirmed the engagement Wednesday to MTV News, ending speculation that he had popped the question.

Foster has been photographed recently with a diamond ring on her finger.

Usher, 28, said he could be walking down the aisle before the end of the year.

His hits include "Confessions," "Burn," "You Make Me Wanna" and "Yeah!"

I really think that Lelee had no idea what she was getting into and no one around with her best interest in mind. Unfortunately, she's not the only person who has a tough time dealing with life after success in the music industry, followed by disapperance of the fans, crowds, luxury, friends and money.

True. And some people are saying that Coco and Taj lucked up because they married money and if it wasn't for that, they might have winded up on the same boat. A lot of people in the in the industry in the 90s should have learned from TLC (who was the biggest girl group at the time). All those albums they sold and they winded up broke (at one point).
