Are there hurdles on the sign-up page, such as CAPTCHAs?? It's been 6 years so I certainly don't recall. If not, looks like it's time to add them.

There are a number of hurdles: CAPTCHA + 2 anti forum spam database checks + posting requirement in the intros forum before being able to post anywhere else on the site (that helps funnel the spam bots so we can block them easier, for those that get through the other checks).

I'll be spending some time soon as I can to lock things down even more.
