What are you talking about? "Brother man"? That rings no bells to be honest. Jokes about Italians and Greeks? You're gonna have to fill me in there too. Did I say guido or something? I'm also not sure when I talked about black people and malt liquor. If you want me to be brutally honest...I do generally associate malt liquor with black people or maybe just the hood or something like that. Sorry......I just can't get over watching DoughBoy chugging 'em down in Boyz N The Hood. I'm sure us white folk have plenty of associations with common items. I have drank a 40 or two in my day..if that is even relevant. Probably not. I'm just giving you a hard time. Come on. Those threads you started were funny. If you think I'm a racist. So be it. |

Religious question... not pertaining to Obama. If a non-Christian/Protestant person were to be elected, would they still swear on the Bible, to God? What if a Muslim president were elected? Or Jewish? Or Atheist? Wiccan? |

To answer your question, that may be based on two things: Is swearing in on the Bible a written/required part of the process? Is it the Bible as literature or the Bible as a religious document? What do they do in a court of law where the person is Muslim, etc. and there is swearing on the Bible? |

Jewish....more than likely a Torah...but can't assume The others...that's a good question, but here is to saying, that RIGHT NOW...in this climate, someone with a Wiccan or Atheist background wouldn't get anywhere close to the White House....too many people with (insert religion here) values more than likely wouldn't go for an non traditional nor non religious president. |
I think it would be funny if a Jewish person just had them open it up to the Old Testament.

But you aren't invited if you're gonna be Obama crazy. Be happy but not crazy. Meet you at noon. :p |

Sorry to ruin "I'm gonna play internet guidance counselor" time, but we actually just exchanged some friendly PMs and are just fine now. You fail to realize that my post was lighthearted in nature ( I think you fail to see that often). I was just wondering what I said. I've said off color shit in the past......don't really care. Not going to deny it or anything. If you can call me a dumbass cracker, I think I can openly admit that I think "black people" when I conjure up images of Mad Dog 40 Oz Malt Liquor. Good article by the way. I agree that we should give him a good amount of time to get things moving. He has inherited quite the pickle. |

I am trying to tell ya...u r a joke killah. leave the crackers alone...I am already hungry (and cant eat this late) anywho...the article hit right into the heart of what we discussed. Like for one, Obama has halted any pending regulations set forth by Bush to check for legalities. I need to remember, has any other admin ever done that? Is it something they normally do? |
Cool man. I wasn't joking around or trying to amuse you. I said my post was lighthearted in nature. I was trying to make it come across to CG like I wasn't upset or anything. Next time I type a post directed towards you....or one that I feel needs your approval...I'll let you know.
I don't know if that has ever been done. It makes sense to me......having a newly elected President review any pending regulations set forth by a recently vacated administration. |
