AJ was not Miss Maroon & White, "the queen" in School Daze, it would have spoiled Spike's entire light/dark thing, although she was Miss Maroon and White in real life. A girl by the name of Leslie Sykes, who happens to be an AKA was the queen in the movie.

Yep, I was on campus when they filmed the movie but did not go to any of the casting calls.

I remember AJ while I took ballet--because her major was theater arts in 1987. She may have graduated in '87 or '88--not exactly clear on that issue. But I am unsure if she is from the HK chapter--or was that active. Because the HK chapter had lines in '87, '88, '90... Not in '89. And Lisa Lake was on the HK '87 line... I will have to ask some of the HK chapter sorority members...

I'm not trying to be funny, but did Spelman have a yearbook? :confused:

We do have yearbooks. However, I don't have access to one during those years.

Also, I wasn't sure if she was made at Spelman either. That's why I put "I believe" next to my statement. But, she is a Delta. She WAS in my yearbook with the then-Eta Kappa president throwing up the pyramid (this was '97 or '98).

Regarding the yearbook, I guess that comment goes to those who were there when she was there. I really would not expect anyone not there when she was there to have access. (I have copies of yearbooks prior to my years at GSU and after. I was just given one from last year at homecoming, but that's just me)

My thing was, a yearbook can or should clear up any questions one (Spelman Alum) may have as to who? when? where?
