I told ya'll. After Kim went home, it was all Nicole! There was NO way they would allow ANOTHER (3xs) non-white to win. If so, Tyra could hang that show up!

I saw the pics of the ANTM party this morning. . .Miss Jay looks a messssssssssssssss.

I forgot who said it, but someone said that whoever gets Covergirl week after week pretty much has it sewn up. I remember that during Eva's season, it went back and forth between her, Yaya, and someone else(forgot who, it's been a minute), then Naima had the dang thing on LOCK last year, so when I saw the commercial saying "VIEWERS THINK SHE'S STUNNING!" and other positive comments about Nicole winning Covergirl of the week I was thinking "Maybe they're going to surprise me!" but alas, they didn't. :(

As for the other thread going on, I REALLY want to know how the heck Nicole deserved to win compared to Nik. I'm baffled but ah well.

1. Nik NAILED her Covergirl photo and interview, Nicole got a beautiful picture but messed up the commercial, not only THAT, she blamed it on the lighting instead of taking responsibility. How is that ANTM material?


2. Tyra said it herself, Nicole has passed by with "pretty" photos, not model photos. She doesn't stand out like Jayla did(and I don't even like Jayla) and I fail to see this spectacular personality the judges saw.

Oh my bad, they were too busy stalking that crazy chic all over the net to notice. I am VERY upset about last night's episode. Nik was obviously the best choice and I'm not just saying that b/c she's black. She was FIERCE in all of her pics and on the runway. She scared me during the fashion show w/ her intense look. Nicole was a whiny cry baby that did not deserve to win. It's a conspiracy I tell ya...A CONSPIRACY!!! And whomever is reading from the other board, take that back over there and discuss it! Actions speak louder than words. As one poster stated, "How do you fudge the Cover Girl commercial and still become ANTM?" Puleeze!

And I agree...I'm only watching Project Runway on Wednesdays...Fudge ANTM!!!

I liked Nicole but she did not bring it!!! The best person overall this season was Lisa. She took the best photos, just that her personality and behavior/antics killed her chances of winning the competition.

Soror QTE, I also heard that Cover Girl picks the winner of ANTM as well. Also up until she was voted off, Toccara was the Cover Girl pick of the week every week. Then it went between Eva and Yaya.

I can't say that I will boycott next season, but I just know not to get my hopes up in regards to who I see as the winner versus who Cover Girl wants to market their products.:(

Exactly. Nicole looks like everybody else to me. She just doesn't stand out. I would remember Nik though.

Maybe you all have something here. If you are talking about marketing, maybe CGs numbers have been low when they've chosen Eva and Naima. Maybe they feel there will be a boost with Nicole. :confused: I guess we have to keep in my CGs targt audience. (I don't think it's US!) :D

Shucks, when did Cover Girl get their first non-white Cover Girl? It's been LESS than 15 years, hasn't it? :confused:

I'm still upset Naima won last cycle.

I don't wear makeup so I don't pay attention to models like that, lol. First one I remember is Queen Latifah, lol.

I expect that Eva RAISED CG's popularity but Naima didn't. Eva is bubblier than Naima. Nicole (from what they showed) was more bubbly than Naima and Nik, more on par with Eva. If that makes sense.

I still don't agree with the decision, but most times I never do. :)
