True but, if she is a Sigma Kappa (which some people have said she might be) you would think she would know the difference between sororities and fraternities. Sure, she shouldn't use ANY national GLOs, but to use a male fraternity just seems wrong....

I can't imagine any Deltas being okay with this, either. I doubt SigEps will be happy with this. That's funny, OTW-I was thinkin' about it and I thought, "I wonder what OTW and the rest of my girls on GC think about this."

I highly doubt she's an SK because she has nothing about it on her myspace page. The only SK chapter that is close by is at Berkeley but she has nothing about Berkeley on her myspace page either.

Plus "Carol" doesn't own SL anymore, at least not the myspace SL....playdom own it now.

and ETA: Can SL stop looking like mafia wars? I hope they don't do these changes on myspace.

I've met girls who were completely oblivious to other NPC groups (much less other GLOs in other umbrella organizations) that weren't on their campus... but I'd also argue that she *must* be aware of other GLOs at least now if she had enough sense to take down Kappa Alpha Theta, DG, ADPi, etc from the top banner.

That might explain a lot! I don't know much about playdom, but they are changing SL the way a corporate entity would change any product that they don't know anything about. The keepsakes, collections, etc. are so unnecessary and do nothing for me. Is it just me, or does the browser not respond when accessing the Glam tab? I'm using Firefox.

I think I may be another one biting the dust on SL. It's just not as fun as it used to be. Too much going on.

And using actual organizations' letters?! The developers are killing me.

SL is turning into a girly Mafia Wars. I only played Mafia Wars for like a day, but I remember seeing the "collections" and things like that. I'm pretty sure Playdom owns them too.

Soon we are gonna see that you have to "fight" the Chapter Advisor, or rival sorority President, or something like that :rolleyes:

Mafia Wars is owned by Zynga, not Playdom.

And Zynga is just as bad about randomly introducing new things that blow people's strategies to shit.

I try to keep my cash balance at $0 and keep everything deposited in the bank except for when I'm buying glam. This way when I get attacked, they may take confidence points, but they wont get my money.

I made it to level 45 this morning :) How many levels are there?

This is the order I do things when I sign on...
1. Bank my $ (but I usually get slammed between signing on and getting to the bank)
2. Fight my confidence down to decrease the chance I'd get attacked
3. Socialize events
4. Bank money from events

I have one now that I swear is purposely seeking me out. Chelsie Maximillion. I want her head on a platter! :)

Sweet. I just had someone pay over 2.5 mil to burn me. I don't remember fighting her, but I'm sure I did. I'm wondering if she was the one who didn't bank.

So now I've got a 6th depression, but every single person who fought me lost, so in all I think I broke even on the influence points. Seems kinda win-win for me, and lose-lose for her. I'll take it!

I'm the same on 1-3. I'm still building up big money glam (ie Hummers, D&G tie front dress, etc), so my fourth step has been to use my events monies, withdraw some more and buy more items. Fortunately, I have over 450+ dresses and Hummers, so I'm starting to win more when I'm attacked.

However, my browser is really locking up on me when I'm on the Glam tab. So, I might have to start just banking my event money.

What do you all think of the Collections and such? Having fun with it?

I usually just log on to bank/attack until I go to the spa/bank/socialize/bank and then log off.

Yesterday I actually stopped to look at the Fortune Cookie thing on the Main page. (It's right below the "Featured Item of the Day" on the right side of the screen)

I picked a cookie and got a pair of Ray Bans... whoop de doo. I figured all of them would be crap glam that I didn't need or want...esp. since it was free and didn't cost any BPs.

I went back today and got a Jeep CJ (the one that was selling for like 20 BPs)! It has 20 Charm & 18 Pop.

Has everyone else seen this? What prizes have you won through it?

The first two days with the fortune cookies I got a pair of sunglasses (I think the Georgio Armani ones) and the Gladiator Wedge sandals. Both have 20 pop, I believe. They were definitely BP items. Today I got a crappy outfit, but I'm still excited to have gotten two high pop accs.

And, I just got burned again. ;) These level 115+ ladies who don't bank their money get a little feisty.

I got a stupid juicy couture dress and some dreds

So far, I've gotten an iPhone, a bottle of Clive Christian perfume (which I promptly sold), and an Angelina Jolie's hairstyle and earrings - which is a BP item, 19 charm / 9 pop. That's one fewer pair of mocha suede boots I have to buy. ;)

This collection thing is frustrating. The items will.not.drop. Plus, I've earned platinum mastery in all the out-of-town events, so now I will have to go back... grrr.

So, in the 6 or 7 hours that SL wouldn't load, I was attacked over 10 times and lost over $550,000. :-(

Ugh! I can't effing find 3 items to complete the Pledge collection.

I need a secret password, embroidered pillow, & a pledge pack.

For the letters in the sand, I minimize my browser window and open another, so both fit on my screen at the same time. I open up this website http://www.wineverygame.com/wbg.php, start the game, and type in the scrambled letters...that way I can look and type.

I won the marilyn dress, blond bun (I already had one of these so I wasnt excited), cheerleader outfit, and the jason wu dress. I've been pretty happy with it. I hope it will give me things I need and dont have more often than things I already have though.
