Please let me know -I'm on pins and needles. This would be so great - right before our reunion!

According to another thread, the following sororities are making presentations at University of Illinois:

Alpha Xi Delta (has been on campus twice, second time 1983-199?)
Sigma Sigma Sigma (previously on campus, 1957-1987)
Alpha Sigma Tau (has not previously been at Illinois)

Does anyone know who is presenting at University of Texas-Dallas? Thanks.

I had thought that AXiD was only there once from 1905 til they closed.

According to irishpipes's thread for Sorority Recruitment 2007/2008, Alpha Xi Delta was on campus twice. If I am mistaken, I will be happy to edit the post.

That's pretty cool! Illinois would be a great expansion for (we have 5 other chapters in IL). Best of luck to all those presenting!

Yes Alpha Xi Delta has closed twice at Illinois. AST may have a leg up just because they are the only NPC to have never had a chapter at Illinois. Panhel may consider that since they love to brag about being the largest Greek system. I'm sure they would love to say that they have had a chapter of every NPC at one time or another. Best of luck to all...

ZTA is recolonizing at Colorado State University this fall.

Go Huskies.Go A Phi! :D

Congrats to Alpha Phi! I have say though I am suprised Alpha Phi is colonizing so soon when AEPhi just started absorbing a local this semester but then again I am not sure how far off from total the local was.

I really hope Illinois wouldn't choose a sorority for that reason. If AST is the best fit fine, but just for the sake of bragging rights?

I'm not in Panhel so I can't speak for them, of course, but when I was there they did love to brag. I agree it would be a stupid reason.

Sigma Pi will charter its colony at Kansas State next month. 60 new members for the new chapter. Congratulations.

In other news, Pi Kappa Phi announced it will be closing its Kansas State chapter at the end of this school year.

I like you delts ... One of my best friends' dads was a delt. And he was SOOO awesome.

Best friend let his dad down - he went Fiji.
I let his dad down - I went SNAKE.

But he still rules in my book.

I think they are at over 50...and total is 90(?) but not every group is at that.

I think AEPhi is planning on going all the way through formal recruitment, where as Alpha Phi will only participate in Round1 (if at all). So I think it will work out best for everyone.

When the expansion process started in the Fall 2006 to bring a group from "scratch" to campus it was always known that AEPhi was starting in January '07. I think we can both work together to expand the system!

Thanks for the kind words.

I would just comment that unless your friends dad has passed on to the Chapter Eternal, he is still a Delt.
