Eh, it's kinda boring. I can't wait for school to start; I'm really excited about the upcoming fall semester. I'm going to Beaufort, SC in August. And that's aobut it. Where in VA are you moving to?

Hi ladies!

I finally got news about a job.. I will be teaching high school government right outside of Baltimore! (Yay!!)

So, I'm getting all set to move.. 4 more weeks! :)

other than that, I'm working.. what is everyone up to?

Congrats on the moves to Baltimore and Harrisburg!

I should be signing a contract next week with a middle school here in Murfreesboro.

what will you be teaching?!

I wanted a middle school job (I absolutely love the age).. but I wanted to live closer to my fiance more so.. so I took the HS position :)

only a month from this wednesday until I become a Maryland resident!

I will be teaching geography. What are you teaching? It's funny, because I absolutely love the high school age!! I need to switch gears and start thinking about the younger age and geography! I'm excited, though!! I start inservice stuff in 17 days!

hey ladies!!

Long time no post for me... summer came and went (quickly, I might add!)

I moved to Maryland a week ago.. so any sisters in the area PM me.. I'm SO SO SO homesick for my DZs (and homesick in general.. :( )

I hope ya'll are having a great "back to school time".. my students come next monday....the excitement and fear of being a first year teacher is in its peak right now!

I'll talk to you all SOON!

Good luck Ann Marie! I know you can do it!

You can always come visit the Iota Pi chapter! We'd love to have you and we're not horribly far away.

How far are you from Baltimore Katie?

I might just take you up on that sometime! ;)

Are you back at school yet?

KatieKate1244 08-25-2005 05:07 PM

According to my dad, it's roughly 5 hours. And yes, I'm back in school. I couldn't take it anymore at home.

PlymouthDZ 11-16-2005 08:42 PM

hi ladies - *listens to the crickets*

how the heck is everyone? :)

KatieKate1244 11-17-2005 04:43 PM

I can't wait for this semester to be over. Class-wise, this has been a very hard semester, and I'm probably going to have to retake one of my printing classes, cause I just don't get a webfed press. I'm more hopeful for next semester, mainly because I'm excited for the folk music course I'm taking.

I get next week off for thanksgiving, then I have two more weeks of school and finals week. Then I'm DONE for the semester!

PlymouthDZ 11-17-2005 09:39 PM

I'm doing well - I'm adjusting to my new state and my "almost married-hood" status too. My husband-to-be and I are getting used to eachother quirks ;)

My job is going alright - each day is a challenge - teaching high school keeps me on my toes! :p

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ready for Turkey day! I can not wait to see all of my family and have a FABULOUS home-cooked meal (nothing beats g'ma and her homecookin' - EVER!)

What is everyone's favorite Turkey Day dish?

Mine is a HUGE toss-up between stuffing and roated parsnips. YUMMMY.

KatieKate1244 11-17-2005 10:49 PM

I know it's plain, but I love mashed potatoes.

Random DZ question: Does (or did) anyone else's chapter seem to be running late for most events? My chapter always seems to run about 20 minutes behind, and we refer to it as "DZ Time."

PlymouthDZ 11-18-2005 12:28 PM

Hahahahhaha!!!!

we were NOTORIOUS for running late.

We too called it "DZ Time"

:D
