two for today
You awake inside a small transparent capsule sitting on the surface of Venus. From a small speaker you hear a voice that says, "We will leave you here either for a day or a year. If you choose to stay a day, we will give you $1 million. If you choose to stay a year, we will give you $2 million. Either way, you will have sufficient food and water. We will make sure the temperature is a constant 70 degrees Fahrenheit. We will also supply cable TV."
What is your choice? (Don't let money decide your answer). I'm sometimes white but always wrong. I can break a heart and hurt the strong. I can build love and tear it down. I can make a smile but more often a frown. What am I? |

it doesn't mean you're right and it doesn't mean you're wrong. :) just interesting. :p i want to see a couple more guesses before i reveal the answer because this one is more difficult than others i've posted. |

lol
ok, ok. there's adequate food, water, shelter and waste disposal (both garbage and sewer). what say you. |
Is this also assuming that if we chose to stay a year that we would be able to get off the planet? I mean there's constant volcanic eruptions on the surface of Venus, and in a year you could be easily buried in lava. Of course, also assuming that your capsule can withstand the heat of the lava in the first place.
Sorry, not trying to overthink this...it's just a complex riddle.:) |
ROTFLMAO!!
yes, the people that put you there will come get you! anything else? LOL |
Alright then, I'll bite and say that I'll stay the year. Although, can I have Dish Network? Cable sucks. Thanks. Oh, and no real reason why I chose a year, except that you might see some interesting things happen.;)
P.S. What kind of drugs was I hopped up on when they loaded me into a capsule and sent me to Venus in the first place? |

the good kind. any other takers? i'll post the answer in a few. |

A year because a year is shorter than a day on Venus! Am I correct :D |

Choose to stay one year and win $2 million. Venus takes 243 Earth days to rotate on its axis, but it takes 225 Earth days to go around the sun. On Venus a day is longer than a year. |
and easier one...hopefully
1-2-3-4-5-6
I am a 6 letter word. Letters 6-5-2 spell out a drink. Letters 4-5-2-3 spell out a fruit. Letters 1-2-6 spell out a pet. Letters 3-2-6 spell out a pest, which often gets eaten by 1-2-6. What am I? |
