Theta was the last to leave, in 1999. They were gone before I pledged in 2000, with only tales of caution lingering... woooOOOooo, sorority ghost stories! |
News Article
Wouldn't it be a pleasant change to have a positive headline with the number pledged instead of the number of women who dropped out of recruitment? The headline implies the chapters dropped the pnms when the fact is many dropped out when the desired invitation was not received.
All the NPC chapters pledged quota (31?) except one. Kappa Delta took 32. If more women had remained for preference there would have been greater numbers pledged. |
I got the results for Santa Clara. Quota was 40 and Kappa has 47 new members!! I'm super excited to meet them!
Btw, UC Santa Cruz has 26 new members. I saw that number was missing from the first page. |

This recruitment cycle, EVERY WOMAN who optimized her options after pref night got a bid. Oh, and quota was 29. |

53 is another huge number which is wonderful after a decade or so of dropping numbers. When I went through recruitment, there were 12 sororities, four of which are now gone but I heard one is coming back which is also great. GO DUCKS. |
