Credit card companies charge the station [or whoever] a fee every time the card is used, so they actually make less money if you use a card.

We're down to $2.22 and $2.32 around here depending on what town you get it in. Heading over to the eastern part of the state this afternoon so I'm hoping it will be just as cheap over there (when did over $2 a gallon become cheap?! LOL). I agree with AOIIAlum that I don't think it will last for a long time - but I will enjoy it while it does. :)

I filled up my tank yesterday with $1.91!!! for the first time in several years it only costed me $21 for a full tank of gas !! Better than the 45 bucks I was paying just a few months ago!

I filled up yesterday at Sam's for $2.35 and that's the cheapest i've seen. Most places are still $2.40-$2.50

Saw gas for $1.81 just outside the Louisville metro limits on our way home today. Too bad we'd filled up last night at $1.89.

I'm stunned that there is gas for $1.98. I'll be more stunned if there prices continue to go down.

The prices here have fallen at least 2 cents a day for the past 2 weeks. One day alone it dropped ten cents. Last weekend, when the prices were $2.11 but had been steadily falling, I bet my husband that it would fall below $2 eventually. He did not think so. By Monday I had won that bet!

Yeah, it's all fun and games with the low gas prices, the problem is, they are low because of the global fears of a world wide recession - BOO!!!

National average gas price: $2.178

El Paso average gas price: $2.366. Seriously? .36 cents higher than the Texas average? Why?

The reason it is so high. Because apparently when the rest of the country had high gas prices, El Paso's gas was relatively cheap. Sorry, that makes no sense.

Consider it a small price to pay for living in "paradise". :)

but if you get your gas at kroger ( like i do) and use your kroger plus card, you save .03 if you haven't spent $100 in groceries yet and you save .10 if you have spent $100. and if you have a Kroger 1-2-3 Mastercard you save .15

For the first time in a LONG time, gas in Jacksonville dropped below $2.00. I almost crashed the car. :p

I paid $2.39 this morning. But I've still seen it as high as $2.65 by my house. I doubt NY will ever see gas under the $2.00 mark again!

I filled my car today with 20 beautiful little buckaroos!

I remember earlier this year it would take 35 dollars to do the same at the gas level I had beforehand. The most I ever paid in FL was 38 dollars- but that was because the gas light had turned on and it was a very expensive station in a very posh part of town.

I keep getting those deals on my receipts from Kroger. Sounds like a great deal and I spend a lot of money on groceries so I should be getting gas cheap. The problem? The nearest Kroger with a gas station is about 10 miles away. Driving 20 miles round trip negates the savings. Thanks Kroger.

Believe it or not, some stations here are as low as 1.99. Less than a year ago, they were at 3.95.

ETA: What I wanna know is why this company is still charging a "Fuel Fee" in addition to U.S. ground shipping because of "rising gas prices" when gas is CURRENTLY lower than it has been in years?
