When you attack or are attacked, you fight with a number of sisters equal to 5x your level, up to a max of 500 (or the number of sisters in your house, whichever is smaller). You should have one accessory, one outfit, and one ride for each of them. So if you're a level 12, you should have 60 accessories, 60 outfits, and 60 rides. Go for quantity first, then go for higher quality.

As you level up, you can start selling off smaller things to buy better glam. Keep in mind, though, that many of the socializing events require that you own certain glam items.

If you don't have much $$, get as much high-point glam as you can to reach your number of fighting sisters. When you DO have enough $, sell off the lower stuff and buy the good stuff like the Mocha Suede Boots, the Chocolate Ankle Boots, the Dolce Gown, the Silk Gala Gown and the Hummer Limo (but keep what you'll need for socializing events!)

what levels are these at? im on level 34. i have 2 Hummers already.

and about the 5x thing... i have 35 sisters, wouldnt i need to have 175 accessories, rides and outfits, versus what aephi alum says about having 5x the level? that doesnt make sense to me.

also, is this realistic to have 5x whatever level/# of sisters?

If you are on level 34 with 35 sisters, you are attacking/defending with 36 sisters (yourself and your 35 sisters). You should have 36 accessories, 36 outfits, and 36 rides at minimum.

And you should start recruiting PDQ or you will be toast. You could be attacking/defending with 35*5=175 sisters. Anyone I friend for games (I play on FB) goes on a list where they can see only a limited part of my profile. You can also friend someone, add to SL, and then de-friend, and they'll remain your SL sister. So, with a bit of care, you don't have to worry too much about privacy.

I'm at Level 90 with 41 sisters. Does this mean I should have 41 x 5 necklaces, 41 x 5 Dolce gowns, etc?

Fighting worked for a bit this morning, so that may have been when you got attacked. Looks like SL is having a bunch of problems. Also, there's a rumor that it's closing down tomorrow?

I finally got the Chanel Russian Doll purse from the Written in the Sand event. I wasn't too thrilled that it was very low in popularity, though.

I was able to get some Mikimoto Pearls from the Secret Sandy Messages as well. The creators of SL are very desperate for cash, I think. Secret Sandy Messages requires 1 BP to play. Players will probably just fork over real money to get the BPs.

Oh, and I finally finished the Design a Clothing Line event. All I got was 3 BPs for achieving Platinum Level. :rolleyes:

If you only have 41 sisters, then you can only get 41 accessories, 41 outfits, 41 rides.

The chocolate ankle boots I think are at level 40-something, the mocha suede boots at level 53-ish. The sapphire gown is around level 70-ish.

The formula for the number of sisters you attack with is 5x your level. So at level 34, you should be fighting with 170 sisters, but since you only have 35, you'll only require glam for those sisters.

I would agree with getting more sisters, if you want a fighting chance to beat others. But you can also stock up on popularity skill points, and make sure you max your glam. The hummers take forever to get, but they are essential to winning fights, especially in higher levels.



ETA: And i'd totally suggest making a totally different character to do the socializing events, that way you don't have to worry about using your skill points for energy, and you dont have to worry about the glam. That is what I do, and I save my bp's for my main character.

apparently all the girls at my level are at a "Labor Day Sale," and i have no one to fight. :(

Same with me, but as soon as I logged in I was attacked enough to be put into the spa. Couldn't tell you how that happened.

I was able to attack for about a minute and a half earlier this afternoon, but now I just get the same Labor Day sale notice like you guys. I'm not complaining...I was able to get and bank $870K! ;)

I get the feeling that there will be hiccups here and there until it gets back to normal.

SL comes out with the ugliest glam...it's so ridiculous. The ones they had before all these new ones were alright...like that flowery tunic one. I liked

The argyle sweater one comes from the new BP event....secret sandy message, or something like that. Someone in my house said she got it for getting 20/22 words correct, but when I got 20/22, I didn't. So i think you have to aim for getting all of them right.

Can I just say that I can't stand when you try to play a game, and the screen goes blank, and you wasted a brownie point and end up with nothing? Happens to me at least 2-3 times a day!!

True. That is what I hate about stupid SL. Two people can do the exact same thing, and have different outcomes. My friend and I got the exact same # correct, same score and everything....yet she got the argyle sweater and I got the IPod/IPhone (whatever that crappy thing is).

It was just like when people were trying to get the BB robe. I got it at over 3000+ points, some got it at 2200 points, some got it at 1800 points. There needs to be some kind of consistency.

the first time i found all my words in secret messages one (i dont remember which, because it shows up in every section except "out of town"), all i got was some Victoria Secret beach dress, which i already had.
and i forget what i completed, but i recently got some rhinestone vest and jeans...

When I try to log in, it's telling me that the "girls are all shopping" and to go try "Poker Palace"....GRRRRRR!

If that's the only people that you can actually fight because you're on a high level, that's all that will show up. I'm on Level 99 (and generally play early morning) and there are times I'll only have 5 people on my list.

recently my fight list will have people who are on my level or a level higher. maybe it has to do with the number of sisters in your house? or perhaps more people are on higher levels and (gasp) we're on minute 14 of SL's fame?

It's been showing people level 129 against my level 94.
I know there have got to be way more people playing SL who are at level 94 with me. Why don't they show up on my fight list? Is everyone getting a mani-pedi?

OK why did the Summer Vacation Gala give me a freaking Prius and 5 influence points? I OWN THAT ALREADY. dont show me glam i could win and then give me crap i have, or has been gifted to me.

When did the yacht get 20 charm and 12 pop?!?!? I don't even want to think of the number of yachts that I have won over the months in the vacation gala that I immediately sold. Blah.

I've been getting my glam up in terms of Hummers, the tie-front dresses, and ankle boots, and I'm starting to win again when I'm attacked! Yay!

But someone mentioned, FarmVille awhile back, and I finally started playing today. I am really enjoying this! I can be neighborly and not worry about drama in the SL feeds that don't work that much anyway.

Honestly, I think Carol is getting greedy with SL and is more removed from the players than she thinks/shows. The development of this game is quite similar to the development of the website that I used to work for, and SL is already starting to go downhill as my former employer has been doing for some time. *sigh*

Umm...so "Dancing In Our Hearts"...is that an accessory, and if so, why? They are missing so many obvious things (pearl necklace, giant [bid day type] letters, lavaliere, designer purses) why go for something like THAT?

Ummmmm...Did anyone else notice that the "pledge backpack" you can wear has "Sigma Phi Epsilon" letters on it and the "Lavalier" has "Delta Sigma Theta" on it?


I thought they realized a long time ago that you can't be using letters of actual organizations on this game. I doubt many men of SigEp would appreciate their letters being placed on the backpack for a "sorority" sister on Sorority Life.
