A majority of the houses rush in this manner, this I know from personal experience.

How interesting for you that you have personally participated in membership selection for "a majority of the houses" to know how things work with other NPC groups.

(this might be a good time to edit your post, and just back away quietly...)

My daughter's roommate is good friends with an Auburn boy who is dating an AU sorority girl and roommate called him and begged him to talk her up to his girlfriends sorority and he kept calling her back all night with questions from the GLO. I thought it sounded ... not right but then after I heard about the gift cards, food, and flowers being sent by a legacy's sister one of the houses I figured it was the norm. :p

I'm glad Zillini QFPd. She didn't just make one indiscreet post, she came back and CLARIFIED.

To the moms:

For those of you worrying about the number of invites your kids got, it's important to remember (once again) that no matter how many invites she gets each round, in the end, she can only get one bid. To put things in perspective, whether she gets a full schedule or has 1 invite, she can still only get one bid.

Also, lets also remember here that unless you are a member of a certain sorority, that you don't know for certain how they determine who gets invited back. You can't believe everything your hear especially if it comes from someone who's not a member of that sorority.

but I read Pledged! (laughing)

KSUViolet06 08-15-2008 04:11 PM

It's also worth noting that as long as your daughter has AT LEAST ONE invitation on her schedule, she still has a chance to get a bid.

Every chapter on your invite list is one that WANTS to see more of you. Whether it's one or a full schedule.

Something else to think about: At a school like Bama, almost every single girl is going to get dropped by a chapter at some point. You're in the minority if you get a full schedule of parties every round.

i think it's this way with most schools. my school (3000 students) had about 300 girls participate in recruitment with 7 houses & were told that it's rare to have a full schedule. unfortunately, i was one of the minority & had a full schedule everyday...i was excited at the time, but then i was wishing i had a break to be by myself & away from estrogen. haha :)

Back to the UA thread...
I was relieved to hear that a girl from our area got 5 back for next round--she is out of state. Encouraging her to stay the course and hope for another good return1
