I really like those designs...especially the Monique Lhuillier. I'm so excited for her. And a resounding boo hiss to all those members of the general public who are complaining that she shouldn't be concerned about fashion in this economy.

Well, I care and this is the first time I've cared. And whatever dress she wears winds up in the Smithstonan (sp) and they already got a spot for her. And those who don't care can KIM.

Eartha Kitt, sultry 'Santa Baby' singer, dies

Eartha Kitt, a sultry singer, dancer and actress who rose from South Carolina cotton fields to become an international symbol of elegance and sensuality, has died, a family spokesman said. She was 81.

Andrew Freedman said Kitt, who was recently treated at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, died Thursday in Connecticut of colon cancer.

I was so sad to hear that. I love her version of "Santa, Baby" and just her as a woman overall. Just a beautiful definition of sexy at any age. (Plus, I still hear her purring, "Marrrrr-cussss...."
