Ok I bit and laughed my ass off. The 30 minutes it took me to get through all 15 pages was worth it. I cant remember who had the "Thank God a moderator showed up" post but when I read that I lost it. Thanks for the laughs.

AXO Alum...after you successfully HT...you will be writing the Great Canadian Novel about your experience with HT, right?

greekalum 10-20-2006 01:06 PM

Make it a Choose Your Own Adventure. How much of it is about HT is UP TO YOU!

SydneyK 10-20-2006 01:41 PM

AXO, I have SUPER news for you. I was digging around online and I found the secret HT process for Jasmin! I guess someone who was unhappy with their HT copied the entire process straight from the Jasmin secret book. It explains everything (how they select patients, what the salon techs wear while performing the HT, what "Jasmin" really stands for, EVERYTHING).

If for some reason, Jasmin HT doesn't happen for you (although I'm SURE it will b/c you are totally the type of patient they're looking for - a little birdie told me that), you can still know everything you would if you had actually gone through the process. You can wear Jasmin salon items, and if anyone ever questions your salon affiliation, you can tell them stuff from the secret book. No one will ever know the difference.

Let me know if you want me to send it to you. It's REALLY cool. (In fact, I'm now thinking about looking into HT with another salon just so I'll know the secret process for more than one salon. Imagine - hardly anyone in the world is privvy to TWO HT processes!)

Sister Havana 10-20-2006 05:36 PM

Why send it to her? Post it here so we can all learn!

SydneyK 10-22-2006 02:40 PM

I hadn't thought about going that far. What if Jasmin found out? Could their people find out who I am and sue me for some kind of copyright violation or something? I'd hate to get into real trouble. Plus, other salons might find out what I've done to Jasmin and keep me from succeeding with HT at their salon. I'd just die if I didn't get to HT somewhere.

Hey guys!!!

So I haven't heard back from anyone despite all of the calls I've made...and I was in NY last week for work, so I took it upon myself to visit the Kermit salon.

To make a long story short, I got escorted out by security :( Apparently they don't like people coming around and asking about HTs :(

SydneyK 10-22-2006 02:52 PM

Aww. ((((hugs)))) I'm so sorry, t*p. You'll find a home somewhere. Don't give up on your dream. There are still plenty other salons to look at.

tunatartare 10-22-2006 05:44 PM

Opening up a salon takes a lot of hard work, time and dedication. Not to mention the insurance and tax money that's involved. I wouldn't recommend it to any shopper looking for a quick fix.

Don't forget. You can always show different salons, or open up your own.

Nice job with this though I would have gone with 523 rather than 530.

BUT the good news is that security escorted you out! That means that they know you & know what you are seeking!! So you may be getting a call from them soon to talk about dates! I think its a good sign - so don't be depressed over it at all!!

I too decided to be a little more pro-active & called the President of the "Snow White" salon. I had sent over some pictures & unfortunately, she told me that some clients had heard about me on GC & had determined that I wouldn't be a good fit for them. She said that I was not being discreet enough & was trying to search for a quick & easy way to become an HT client versus going through the process like all the other ones did -- I tried to tell her this was my journey to fulfill a lifelong dream, but no use :( I feel certain that I know which GC'ers turned me in, and I am not planning on outing them (yet) but I would like for you all to be more supportive of us.

We never got the chance in college to get HT's like some of you did. Some of us didn't have the money, or the time, or the social skills to be accepted -- but we are changing that now. We are buying shoes that we can't afford (much less walk in), wearing underwear from Vicky's Secret that barely covers the you-know-where, and cutting back to wearing only one plaid a week -- there are sacrifices that we are trying to make to fulfill our dreams!! So we should be ushered to the front of the line -- I don't care how long others have waited in line, I want to become an HT client & I want it now!!

You're welcome. Just protecting the integrity of my salon and its clientele.

KLPDaisy, if you don't like people getting hair transplants, why don't you just NOT READ THIS THREAD?? Just because you have been through your salon's process and know what it is looking for does not make it right for you to shoot down other people's DREAMS.

tunatartare 10-23-2006 02:24 PM

Because I don't want balding, white-trash shoppers ruining my salon's prestige and reputation.

greekalum 10-23-2006 03:23 PM

Maybe you should think about what your NAME CALLING is doing to that reputation!! A little birdie told me your salon took away your frequent-blowout privileges.
