It reminds me of In Her Shoes: "1990 called, it wants its scrunchi back". |
NO SPANDEX, please! Even if you are working out, or for some reason feel the need to wear costumes.
|
I had a hot pair of black knee-length spandex bicycle shorts with lime green stripes down the sides. When I was 6. I left them in the 80's, where they belong. :D
|
I had purple spandex with black and white checks on the side when I was 6. They, too, reside in the 80s.
Suspenders are also a HUGE no, as well as pants that come up to your chest. |
If you're a size 12, DO NOT wear clothing that's a size 8 just so you can feel say that you fit into a smaller size.
|
There's a difference between discrete butterfly clips and scrunchies that match your hair color, and humongous ones that look straight out of an 80s teen fashion magazine. The first are fine to pull your hair back, the second need to stay back in the 80s.
And this 50-something year old lady who is a children's librarian at another library was wearing a black hairbow the other day at a meeting. It looked like the ones I wore back in middle school. But it was the same color as her hair, so it did not stand out. Lycra is fine for workout clothes- but I only wear it on my top half. I do wear gym shorts with a drawstring- much more comfy. |

The American Girls collection can be just as suited to adult collecting as to children's play (especially considering how very expensive the dolls and accessories are). http://www.ehow.com/tips_9774.html |
Come on Gamma Phi's, you know you all want this:

Screw that...I get the super-hold ones that stick extra well. But then again, my hair is so thick and slipery, the normal, and especially the ouchless ones don't hold well. |
Scrunchies are NEVER okay. Use an subtle elastic, and you can pretty it up with a subtle, stylish hair clip.
Of course, there's always an exception for something styling like this, the scrunchie hat: http://www.a2zstitches.com/i/Delta%2...at_(Small).jpg |
