Well, here's an update. I LOVE kappa Delta sooo much but I am again having medical problems. I may very well have to drop out of school (AGAIN!) to try to take care of them. Do you think that I could still come back to KD after this semester and pledge, or would I have to rerush again?

I believe your bid is binding for one calendar year, so I think that you could return to KD within that timeframe. Someone more knowledgable of Green Book rules please correct me if that's not right!

Rachel, I'll suggest that you contact your New Member Educator (or whatever KD calls the officer entrusted with the New Members!) immediately. Let her know what's going on with you health-wise, and ask her to find the answers to your questions.

I emailed the New Member Coordinator on Friday and again today, but she hasn't gotten back to me yet. I guess I'll just wait and hopes she emails me back or something...Maybe I'll try calling my set leader tonight.

rachael, i hope you are ok! defintely try to get in touch with someone who can find out this info for you! did you get some sort of "big" sister or something that you could go to with questions?

Well, I'm supposed to have an emerald sis, but she wasn't there on Thursday night when we had our first degree pinning, so I got her number from someone in the house and called her, leaving a message...but I haven't heard back. I guess my next step is waiting for the girl I know from HS to come online (IM) so I can IM her and ask her what to do. I also still haven't heard back from the New Member girl, I emailed her twice....

I hope you feel better! From my knowledge your bid will last a year but you should talk to your New Member chair and they can give you all the options that you have.
