Oh I forgot to big up Soror Nancy Wilson's performance tonight. She looked fricking fabulous and sounded even better.

Lem still got a temper problem. :mad: Well it would not be a soul food season finale without some kind of relationship drama. :eek: I will actually miss Damon. :( (moment of silence) OK now that Damon is gone I think Terri needs to move on to Brother man from the Jamie Foxx Show LOL! I agree. I hate they way they got rid of him. I liked the way Lem had Terri's back though. I hope they continue to have a cool relationship next season.

All in all it was a good ep--just didn't like the way my honey left.

I'm hyper sensitive these days but I was tearing up while Ahmad was describing to Tobias his emotions from all of his trophies.

Nancy was phenomenal- here's to all the Lawry ladies :-)...

First of all, I know that Terry & Damon have had their share of problems, but he just seemed to have done a 360 on her last night. I mean they just went from the Beavers to What's Love Got To Do With It!

Does anyone feel that Terry was wrong in approahing Damon in the hospital about what the Social Worker asking him about his drinking or was it's Terry's way of indirectly asking???

I mean granted at the time his wasn't drunk, but that woman was going far deeper than what said.

It seems that Damon is a bad luck lepperchaun and personally he might be doing Terry and the rest of the Joseph's a favor. I am not saying Terry is a saint in all this either but dang he kind of reminds me of if any of you remember the Brady Bunch and Cousin Oliver came to visit and all sort of bad s&$# was happening. The same applies here, ever since Damon came all sort of crap has been happening.

I am going to soon do a "spec" on SF(for the screenwriters amongst us), picking up where last night was left off. I can tell you I was not really all that pleased with last night's ending. However, I was really proud of Ahmad.

Why did they have to send Damon out like that. Whyyyyyy???


How was Damon going to quit JOB and not mention this to Terry??? I know he had a lot of pressures, but a lot of them he brought on himself. He is the most irresponsible person, and that to me seems to be what it all boils down to.

And is it me, or has there been at least 3 season finale's focusing on Terry and Damon in one way or the other......... I will have to come back later and edit because I have more to say.......but I was so happy this was back up that I had to post something.....

Now all Terry has is a Pissy Plant! Whhyyyyy Damon whyyyyyy???

And I knew Mandells mama was going to reappear, that ole fish eyed beedy eyed fool! She would have been better off leaving Mandell with Terry, but then again............maybe not.:(

I hope Terry is not going to start having those panic attacks again or worse.........:confused:

That isht was stupid! I HATED the finale! I think that they could have found a better way to end Damon's run on the show. The ending was left in the dust.

I also feel that Damon became a demon on the episode. He flipped the script. The episode seemed a little bit put together. It was like all sorts of things didn't fit together for me.

I do think that Terri was trying to be indirect about asking Damon about his drinking, but I also believe that he took it the wrong way. I mean, how many times do you play with your child and bust their head open? I assume that Terri wanted to know, as well as prepare him for the question. It's not like he doesn't have a history.

I know CPS and to them it sounds too simple for you to say, "Yeah, I know this kid has a history of being abuse and battered, but we were just playing. I made a mistake and cracked his head." They are going to target you for the worst possible scenerio. I don't think that he should have left the hospital. If he wanted to walk off, he should have walked into the social worker's office. He was an a**hole for the whole episode.


I can't believe no one brought it up, but how many of y'all thought that the drama was going to pop off between Terri and Estella? When Terri was about to guide Estella to a seat and she slapped Terri's hand away, I thought a fight was going to break out. I especially thought that the drama was going to heat up when Estella picked up that picture. She was punching in her hand like she was about to bring the noise. I have been there a time or two myself.... :o ;) :p

OKAY so I totally enjoyed last nights episode.

I don't know where to begin.

Damon - WHAT IN THE HEEEECK IS WRONG WITH YOU? You don't just pizz in someone's plant and think it's okay. You don't leave a CHILD in the hospital, without answering questions...ESPECIALLY when YOU are the reason the child is there. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE COME BACK and get that DANG NASTY RING from Teri!!! :eek: How dare you catch an attitude when Teri is questioning you in front of the family about you not having a job? Brother please, she is the FIRST person you should have told! I'm disgusted with how they got rid of him :rolleyes:

Teri - Kudo's to you on wanting to keep Mandel...but as jacked up as she maybe...His mother has the right to take him back..or at least try....and Teri...you know you were WRONG for planning that boys b'day party 4 months later and leading Damon to believe that your sisters went along with you...:rolleyes: shaddddy....Also, as prissy as you may or want to be....I know you wanted to smakck the crap out of Estella for walking in to your office with an attitude and looking the way that she did, and then picking up your family's picture and all...:p Also, go get that arm checked out girllll....you know you hurt yourself!!!

Max & Kenny - I like how you two were talking about people who are in love are supposed to work things out...and never ever give up.

Bird & Lem - I like how you two are concerned for Teri and also were talking about never giving up on love.

Max - I know you wanted to knock the hell out of Estella when she came out of no where asking for her son.

Bird - ummmm.....what's up with the '60's hairdo? I thought the scene with her and Lem where apart of Teri's dream.

Lem - You are the man...at times.....I like how you weren't going for the ol' pity thing with Damon. And I too like the way you and Teri have bonded and gotten closer through out this season....

Ahmad - You made me proud to call you Max & Kenny's son! You are a GREAT friend to Tobias. I was all choked up....wait I'm tearing again.....when you went to the house and started telling him about his accomplishments and the feelings he had while going through the moments. *deep sigh* beautiful, just beautiful.

The way this ended with Teri and Damon breaking up is just about right. Simply because the last few season finales all ended with one of the Joseph sisters having issues in their relationship. Last season, Kenny & Max, before then it was Bird & Lem, now Teri & Damon. Apparently the show has to end because they have run out of Joseph sisters to have relationship problems....LOL :D Unless they bring back the OTHER sister or Faith the Cousin....

Wouldn't that be some mess? Teri founds out that Damon hooks up with some chick he met in a bar ..... and it was FAITH???????

Ok I am so glad that someone cleared up that this is not the Series finale, but the season finale, cause I was about to be heated that it ended like that! But if it's the season finale, it was off the chain!

Ok Damon was a huge jerk! He should of stayed in the hospital and waited on CPS to come. He didn't have to talk to Terri if he was mad but he didn't have to leave. It seems like he was really bonding with Mandel:(


I'm sure I may be alone on this but...Spinxpoet is right on Terri should have let Damon use the bathroom. The bathroom was more of a symbolic thing IMO. Think about it. Damon is not just being an asshole just because, he said it himself when he was drunk(and you know you tell the truth when you wasted, lol) He feels like everything that has gone bad in the family is because of him. And now he's lost their "son". He goes back to his house where Teri and the family are waiting. She begins to yell at him, he tries to tell them to go, but they look to Teri to see if they should leave. THEN when he wants to use the bathroom before they get in this long talk about their future,Teri refuses to let him do that. So he pisses in that plant.


Damon pissing in that plant was proving a point. It was like DAMN DO I HAVE A SAY IN THIS RELATIONSHIP? Damon is a asshole YES, he's screwing up YES and right now he doesn't deserve to be let off the hook, but he is still a man and sometimes as women, we need to know when the hell to back off. And that was one of those times. I am one of those women who will say "No I want to talk now!" and it doesn't help a damn thing. It's a hard thing to back down but sometimes you need to, and sorry but I feel that Teri should have waited till in the morning when they were more sound minded and ready to talk with their heads AND hearts.
