WTH is up with the title itself? Foxy Brown's first album was called Ill Na Na. Ill Na Na 2 should be Foxy's, not Kim's. Is she trying to stir up more beef??

I think Bamboozled meant to write Foxy Brown. I read the same thing about Foxy on mtv.com. Lil' Kim is coming out with a new CD but the title is La Bella Mafia and is coming out in March.

Sorry for the misinformation. I cut and pasted that info from an email I got. But you know ... Lil' Kim, Foxy Brown ... it's all the same, LOL. Anita has no business collaborating with either one of them.

DMX To Star In Movie 'Never'
DMX will star opposite David Arquette in "Never," a movie based on the 1974 book "Never Die Alone," by author Donald Goines.

The crime drama centers a gangster, who in the original rendition was known as King David, a cocaine dealer. The book focused on King David's exploits in the underworld.

King David is murdered, but leaves a diary to a writer named Paul Pawlowski, who is seeking to solve David's murder. The original telling is based on a true story.

The movie, which will be told in a series of flashbacks, is being produced by DMX's Bloodline Films. Ernest Dickerson, known for his ground breaking cinematography with Spike Lee, will direct the movie.

Dickerson also directed 1992's "Juice," which starred Tupac Shakur and 2001's "Bones," which starred Snoop Dogg.

Shooting for "Never" will start next week in Los Angeles.

First they sample songs, now this...

LOS ANGELES, California (Reuters) -- Actor Mike Myers, best known for appearing in multiple roles in the "Austin Powers" films, has hatched a plan to appear in old films that he was never in in the first place.

Myers and privately held DreamWorks unveiled a partnership Friday that will see the studio acquire the rights to existing movies, write new storylines and then use digital technology to insert Myers and other performers into the films.

The two sides said they have decided to call the process "film sampling," a take-off on the musical practice of sampling, where bits of old songs are used in new songs or where songs get entirely new lyrics.

The practice has been particularly popular in the world of rap music, where top producers like Sean "P. Diddy" Combs have made successful records from older songs.

"Think of me as the Puff Daddy of film or 'M. Diddy' or 'M & M' or just 'M, or maybe when you sample movies you don't need a special name?' " Myers said in a statement.

DreamWorks said Myers would work directly with two of its co-founders, Jeffrey Katzenberg and Steven Spielberg, as well as director Jay Roach, who directed the "Austin Powers" films.

The idea of somehow redoing an original film is not a new one. In 1966 Woody Allen directed "What's Up, Tiger Lily?", a Japanese spy film where he removed the voice track and replaced it with one of his own.

Right now, this gets a

Even though the idea gets a , the concept is kind of funny! Can you imagine Mike playing the roles of Ice Cube in Barbershop, Chris Tucker in Friday, Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca, etc. I am sure that he will stick to his own type of film and genre, but the concept just makes me laugh. :D

AKA2D '91 02-17-2003 09:22 PM

Exactly. On paper it's like whatever, but it could really become something funny. We'll have to wait and see what Mikey Mike does with it.

Manager's gut feeling: Tyson won't fight

Associated Press

LAS VEGAS -- Mike Tyson missed his flight to Memphis, Tenn., amid growing indications his comeback fight with Clifford Etienne may be doomed.

Tyson's manager said Monday the former heavyweight champion was still trying to decide whether to fight.

"I don't see how he's going to go, but they said don't cancel it yet," Shelly Finkel said.

Tyson missed his scheduled flight Sunday, and Finkel said the fate of the bout rested on how the fighter felt when he woke up Monday.

"Unless he just wakes up and feels 100 percent better most likely we're going to have to postpone," Finkel said. "With each passing hour it looks less likely."

Tyson's behavior in the past week has been erratic, with the former heavyweight champion getting a large tattoo on the side of his face on Tuesday, then skipping scheduled workouts the rest of the week.

On Friday, he reportedly went to a doctor for treatment of flulike symptoms, and Finkel said Tyson was still ill over the weekend.

Trainer Freddie Roach said he was told to wait another day in case Tyson decided to go through with the fight, and said he still hoped the fight might happen.

"Fighters fight sick all the time," Roach said. "When I was asked to stay another day I had a feeling maybe Mike's going to fight."

Showtime executive Jay Larkin, whose network is building a night of programming around the fight and a rap concert by Jay-Z, said late Sunday the fight was still officially on.

"We're just waiting for a call to see what Mike feels like," Larkin said.

Finkel indicated, though, that the chances of the fight going off as scheduled on Saturday were dropping.

"My gut feeling is it won't happen," he said.

The Etienne fight may be the least of the worries for Tyson's handlers. If next Saturday's fight is not held, it most likely means Tyson will not get a planned June rematch with Lennox Lewis that could be his last huge payday and his last chance for redemption.

Tyson's problems prompted Finkel and one of the promoters, Gary Shaw, to fly to Las Vegas and meet with Tyson at his home Saturday to try and salvage the fight. They emerged from the meeting saying that the fight was still on.

On Sunday, though, Finkel spoke for the first time about the possibility the fight will not go on.

Roach said Tyson missed some critical sparring sessions during the week and that his training schedule would have to be rearranged. He said there was a possibility Tyson could spar Monday if he's feeling well and still fight on Saturday.

"Depending on how he's been treating his body it wouldn't take a lot to get him back in shape," Roach said.

The Etienne fight is crucial to Tyson's hopes of continuing a career that once made him the most feared fighter on the planet.

After taking a beating from Lennox Lewis in their heavyweight title fight last June, Tyson needed a big win over Etienne not only as a confidence booster but also to set up a possible June rematch with Lewis.

But unless the Etienne fight could be quickly rescheduled -- a doubtful possibility because of the many logistics that surround a fight -- Lewis would most likely drop his plans to wait to fight Tyson and perhaps fight WBC No. 1 contender Vitali Klitschko instead.

If the fight is off, it probably would not be rescheduled for weeks, if at all. Larkin said there was a possibility it could be rescheduled for late March but he was not sure it would happen.

The Showtime cable network had planned an elaborate night of entertainment and was planning to sell the entire evening of events on pay-per-view for nonsubscribers.

Ticket sales in Memphis had reportedly been decent, though they were helped by a 2-for-1 sale on many of the seats. Promoters were estimating a crowd of about 12,000 at the Pyramid arena for the bout.

Yeah right  There are so many tickets left for that fight it's ridiculous. Now Jay Z on the other hand, is a sold out concert.
