I agree with everyone, I thought it was really good. Tasha Smith was a fool in this movie!
But there were a few parts of the movie that confused me. If Sheila and the other characters were such good friends, why didn't they know that she had gotten re-married and why weren't they invited? |

Remember she stayed in Colorado but no one knew. She didn't tell them where she was all she said was that she was working at the General Store and that she would keep in touch. I would assume that they knew she was divorced. Plus, she probably needed to gain her independance from both Mike and her support system. |

Ohh okay, that makes sense. |
Random Question: Did you all see the play? In the play, Sheila's sister ends up having the affair and marrying her ex.
I thought Sheila was going to say, "I's married now". LOL |

Nooooooooo, huh? And didn't Trina have a daughter who became pregnant? I guess she called her Aunt Sheila b/c they were good friends. I could have sworn they were blood sisters.
|
Trina didn't have any children.
Wait, are you thinking of I Can Do Bad All By Myself? Maylee got engaged to her sister's ex and her daughter became pregnant in that one. I think you mixed up the two plays--both Maylee and Diana from Why Did I Get Married? were played by the same actress (Donna Stewart). |
LMAO @myself!!!!
LMAO See! That's just too crazy! Okay. This means I'mma need to go review Why Did I Get Married. LMAO LMAO!!!! I'm A Do Bad...was the worst TP play, IMO. |
Great Movie :D All those beautiful men made me want to go home and attack my hubby LOL

LMAO. I DO remember THAT! My favorite is Meet The Browns. The Sheriff (Rucker) in the movie this weekend plays in Meet the Browns. I wonder if he's going to be the pastor that gets with Pamela Mann's character. |
Good movie. Jill Scott stole the movie, but then her character had more potential for conflict, depth, and range, given what she went through.
Janet? ...she was nice to look at for two hours, but I just don't see her as the type of actress to carry a movie. Given her historical stress point (their baby) I expected more range from her. Tyler's acting was arright, I guess. That scene where he told his wife (foine azz wifey, though selfish) that he was leaving her, where they were walking through their brownstone? tortorous. I sat there thinking, if Denzel Washington was doing this scene it would be off the chain. His range as an actor is deep. If any of my boys went biaaa.... like Michael did at the table, dude would not have been around for the end credits. foul to the 5th degree. As kiml122 (I think) said earlier, it didn't make sense for Jilly's girls not to know she got married...I mean if they were that tight?!? was it just me or was Jilly's dress at the end having to work waaay too hard to keep everything on lock? I mean, I got love for the busty, but dayum, trying to keep focus on the dialogue was at times not that easy. But then maybe I missed her explanation to her girls, since I sitting in the movie theatre with all yall's cousins talking back to the screen :o:) . Overall, a good flick. |
