I'll second that!!! That's fantastic news.

axotiger-I always wanted to go to a the beach and eat clams.
I LOVE clams.

lows: I have so much to do and there are never enough hours in the day. I'm taking a moment to post and procrastinate! Keep me in your thoughts on the 17th and 24th as I take two national exams that will be pretty important for my career!

Highs: Graduation is one month away! If I can survive the next three weeks, I am DONE! YIPPEE!

ETA: I'm still waiting to see that ring daisycrazy!
:D

Xylochick216 04-15-2004 10:49 AM

Highs: We're having a fabulous picnic this weekend with the Alpha Chi Omegas at UNCG and UNCCH. I'm so excited to meet them all :D

Lows: Only 38 days til graduation... I don't want to leave!

Congrats, DaisyCrazy! Isn't calling him your fiance weird? I still slip up 5 months later.

DaisyCrazy 04-19-2004 09:36 AM

Thanks for all the congrats! And yes, Xylochick, calling him my fiance is definitely weird!! But in a really nice way!! :)

Highs:
-Absolutely gorgeous spring weather. I sat outside yesterday reading my wedding books and got some sun on my pasty self!
-My parents and my fiance's parents are coming this weekend to officially begin the wedding planning. Should be fun!!

Lows:
-It's only Monday - 5 whole days of work to go until the next weekend.
-My boss is going to do payroll with me this week which means it will take 3 times as long, plus I have to listen to her ask a million questions. But I have to be patient b/c she's my boss...

Have a great week!!

high:

one of my coworkers, who's a tri delt, just got engaged and i will be a bridesmaid for the first time!

low:

i'm the one who introduced her to her fiancee and she's been dating him less than my boyfriend and me (the two men are best friends)

2 days later another coworker, who is the second bridesmaid for the first's wedding, got engaged as well!

ah well...my day will come...

axotiger 04-20-2004 09:30 AM

Highs:
I finish co-oping [for good] on the 30th. My final is done on the 27th. I go home for a week on the 9th and I'm going to see Mama Mia on Broadway with my mom. We're going to go into NYC and have lunch with my dad and then catch a matinee. THen I'm taking summer classes back down here [which I guess could go in the 'Lows' but it's fun since you have class maybe 1-2 hrs a day, and the rest of the day you hang out at the pool and drink... er, I mean study.

Lows:
Well, actually TAKING my final, but that's besides the point.
- The Low thing is that I only have a summer until my boyfriend graduates and goes to either Texas or Florida.
Texas for OBC [Officer Basic Course] or Florida to take over his families business. Both quite far away. But I have a few months to spend with him :)

cash78mere, your day will come:)

aggieAXO 04-20-2004 02:23 PM

IT STINKS sometimes! I was the last one to get married of ALL my friends. I really hated that stupid saying, "Always a bridesmaid, never a bride." BITE ME! (But I wasn't bitter):p

Highs-Well, the sky isn't falling.
Lows-Things are really messy in terms of family. Not my little foursome, but my original family...hmmmm.

OH, I did forget a "HIGH"! Both kids have summer jobs........out of state!;) Of course I will miss them, but I won't miss the cooking, cleaning, phone calls and odd hours.

HIGHS:

I have a job for this summer, at an architecture firm here in NYC. It will continue into the fall, so when I graduate I'll have a full year of experience at an architecture firm, along with my two years at non-profit preservation organizations. That should help me find a real job over my idiot classmates.

Classes are over in a little more than a week.

I can't wait to get home! I miss my family soooo much.

LOWS:

I think I'm going to be staying in this apartment next year. I realized how difficult it is to get an apartment as a student; I also don't feel very comfortable with my parents cosigning on an apartment I'd be sharing with my fiance. They're okay with it, I'm not. Our schools are over 100 blocks away from each other, so maybe it makes more sense to have separate places until graduation.

I have to take an AutoCAD class this summer. $900, bye-bye.

I am 32 and wonder if the day will come for me :(. I do have a couple of other friends my age that aren't married so I am not totally alone. For now though I am enjoying life as a single young professional :).

Thanks! I survived! I turned in my last paper yesterday, and am now just waiting for graduation. I am so excited, and can't believe these two years are finally coming to a close.
Now I'm just planning to hang out with the girls for the summer, and will start looking for a job in the school system somewhere. I'm looking forward to being able to read what I WANT to read for a change! Anyone have any suggestions for good reads?

:D :D :D :D :D

Trashy novels work for me!:D

Gee AXO_MOM_3, I can't believe time has gone so quickly! I remember when you were in the initial stages. This is so wonderful, CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I bet you are breathing a sigh of relief. I too cannot believe it has already been 2 years-where has time gone?? Enjoy your time off with your family and don't be a stranger :).

Xylochick216 05-13-2004 03:58 PM

Highs- Graduation is on the 22nd! Almost done with college!

Lows- I don't want to leave Elon. And my web design teacher can't figure out what is wrong with my site that is due tomorrow...
