Just out of curiosity, how is the Centennial Chorus assembled?
I think the sponsor option is a great idea. I don't have that kind of $$$ in the bank right now, but I know we have tons of sisters out there who will be more than willing to help! |
hoping this isn't a foolish question...
Okay. I really want to go to Convention for at least a little while and am trying to figure out the best way (= CHEAP) to do that and get the most out my experience!
So, if I register for the Epsilon Pi Banquet ONLY, I can attend the Ritual services after, correct? I can't afford the whole day (not to mention the whole Convention!) but I think out of all the days I'd like to attend this part the most...but only if I can go to the Ritual stuff, I don't want to eat & leave! :( Other than that I think I can swing driving from MN to Chicago pretty well and I can probably crash with a friend here. Advice from those more "in the know" than yours-truly would be appreciated! :D |
Yes, you can attend the services following the Epsilon Pi banquet if you are attending the banquet!

The daytime and evening sessions are "free". The things that you have to pay to attend are the meal events.

Delta (Airlines) says it may have to file for bankruptcy if the pilots don't decrease their demands.
Glad I made Airtran reservations. ;) |
wtf - i've got tickets through delta to hawaii this august. grrrrr...

I just got another Convention email and got off the phone with a Delta Sigma from Hawaii...
Delta Sigma & Hawaii Alumnae will be represented by at least 25 sisters this Chicago! 8 collegians will represent our collegiate chapter. The number seems to be growing every day! What an impressive number considering the majority of us will be traveling from Hawaii! |
Another question about attire
NinjaPoodle's sandal thread in the Chit Chat forum had a point that got me thinking:

Still, I bought a $9.99 pair of butt ugly white shoes from Payless for Atlanta, and I'm probably gonna give them an encore performance for Chicago. :) |
65 Days until Convention!!!! Have you seen the cool countdown tool on the Fraternity's website?
|
Yesterday online I was searching for dresses to wear to the Gala and FoR. I think I found some possibilities. Last night I dreamed I found a great dress but it wasn't one from online, lol. It was a simple long A-line dress, dark blue for some reason.
Side note, has the price of the Limoge box dropped? It's $149. I was thinking it was previously around $250. |
The price hasn't changed any...that's what the price was when my husband bought me one for my birthday in February.

Age of our Founders
Ariesrising's thread in the general forums made me wonder.
Do any of you know how old our 11 Founders were when they started AGD? Looking back on their photos, they look like they're college-aged women (in today's standards, anyway). Does anyone know for sure? |
Emily Helen Butterfield was born in 1884, making her 20 in 1904.
I would presume the others were close in age. Dee |
Sandy, I'll look that up for you in my History tonight. The founders ages are something I never really thought about.
BTW, I found my dress for initiation yesterday and I LOVE IT! Now I just have to find shoes and a purse! :) |
