At first, I didn't want to see Elf, but the more I see the previews, the more I want to see it. And I want to see the Cat in the Hat, too. But the movie I REALLY can't wait to see is Bad Santa. This looks HILARIOUS!!!

I FINALLY went to see Kill Bill last night. I loved it. My date was asleep within the first ten minutes. He hated it. Needless to say, he won't be my date again any time soon.

I agree, Lucy Liu's story was great. She was the cutest/fiercest little character. And what about her 17 year old body guard? Hilarious. And Uma? She clearly had to go through some extensive training for that role. It ended kind of abruptly, but I was okay with that because I was getting sleepy. I was kind of worried when she had two down, three to go and I had already been in the theater for two hours. (I'm sure that makes sense to those who have seen it).

Like abaici said, I don't know what goes on in Tarantino's mind for him to come up with the stories that he does, but I'm a fan. He definitely left the door wide open for Volume 2 to be a success.

It's time for my weekly Monday Night Date with Monique. :) I was gonna go see Mystic River (has anyone seen it?), but now I'm gonna go see Elf. :)

My review to follow. :)

Does anyone intend to see either Honey or Resurrection (2pac's movie)?

I promised my niece that I wouldn't see it without her, so I have to wait until the weekend. I was so tempted to see it last night, but a promise is a promise. I'll have to post over the weekend.

i saw resurrection tonight and i urge all to go see it. there was SO MUCH i didn't know about tupac. the man was so much more brilliant than i knew him to be. he really was misunderstood. when they opened the theater, evereyone was buzzing with convo and the preview was hosted by one of the radio stations here so people were playing trivia and what not. but when the movie was over, everyone left the theatre in introspective silence. GO SEE IT!!!

Has anyone seen Kill Bill Vol. 2?

feu_declipse 04-21-2004 09:54 AM

I saw it this past weekend. Unfortunately I can't compare it to the first one because I have not seen that one yet.

Anyway, I thought it was very funny. A bit gross in some parts but it was not too much. I heard the first one was a lot more violent.

Anyway, good movie :)

AngelicWings21 04-21-2004 09:58 AM

I haven't seen it yet...I haven't the first one either...I was thinking about renting the first one...and going to the 2nd...

I liked it a lot better than the first one. It was a lot less gory, as the others have said... it was more about the story behind the whole thing. Parts of it were kind of scary, but it was very very well done.

I'm not big on Tarantino, and I pretty much hated Vol. 1, so I'm suprised how much I liked Vol. 2

AKA2D '91 04-21-2004 11:14 AM

I haven't seen Vol. 2 yet...
