We decided on J Crew dresses. I have 3 bridesmaids and they each chose different ones today. They were, BY FAR, the nicest dresses we looked at in this whole process.

^Thanks for the update! I will be letting my bridesmaids do the same thing; I love the look of coordinated, but not matchy matchy bridesmaids. Will their dresses be in that color as well?

I love the fall flavor of the dresses and flowers!

Wanted to update that the dress ended up looking great on me and the other girls, probably better than the other choices would've looked.

I am thrilled to be one of my best friend's maid of honour, but I'm a little bummed that we're doing floor length black gowns. I do have formal events that I need full length gowns for, but nothing that I can wear something that's plain and black to. And because I'm so short, I'm going to be paying just slightly less than the cost of the dress in alterations. However, it IS her wedding, so I will be fine as long as she is happy in the end!

It may be an awful idea, but I allowed my ladies to go to J.Crew and pick any silk chiffon bridesmaid dress in either bright coral or dark eggplant. Originally, I asked which colors they wanted to wear, and it was a pretty even split between the two colors (so three ladies will be in one color and two in the other). I figured that in doing that, they got to choose a color that flatters their skin tone and a silhouette that works for their shape. We'll see if it comes out okay in the pics, but I don't really care since the bridesmaids will be happy.

Groomsmen were told grey suits. Groom is wearing charcoal, but we didn't want to stress anyone out financially, so any grey will do. They will probably have matching ties, which we will purchase for them.
