Well bless your heart for sharing. Now we all know that the way things work in your hillbilly neck of the woods (where people apparently lack class, manners and basic language skills) is the way things work everywhere. Your little hamlet is the center of western civilization. You are not Greek. You have no basis for your ridiculous assumptions. Now go back to the University of Memphis, take some remedial classes, move out of your mommy's house and pray that some sorority might possibly take you someday.

Another win for Barbie. :)

Although you certainly right about not being Miss Informed.

33Girl, I think you made two good points.

Drolefille 06-20-2010 06:14 PM

I also like how "miss informed" really means "too stupid to go look it up because I just assumed"

remmie_k 06-20-2010 06:40 PM

I just want to inform everyone my mom wasn't part of those 5. She became a DZ despite having her great aunt and an older sister in two of the five. So, I am not making it sound like i'm self entitled or anything. Even if she is my mom I know what she did is not typical of what most girls want to become especially if you have family in the common sororities.

KSUViolet06 06-20-2010 06:46 PM

You're not a real PNM. Go away.

You are both stupid and rude and the fact that you're not smart enough to be aware of this means you should probably re-evaluate whether a college degree should be a life goal for you.

Go troll elsewhere.

MysticCat 06-20-2010 07:41 PM

The cluelessness that is remmie_k the PNM/troll has been commented on by enough people, so I'll just add one additional comment.

I get so tired of Southerners who think their limited experience in their corner of the South defines all things Southern. The South is a big place, remmie_k. You seem to be ignorant about much of it.

That's a bit of a stretch. I don't really see a correlation either way. Some rich parents are strict, some poor parents are strict. Some rich parents are lax, some poor parents are lax. Additionally, just because the school is expensive doesn't mean everyone that goes there is loaded. Some people are willing to be $100K+ in debt upon graduation.

Besides, having strict parents does NOT automatically mean the children are well behaved. In my experience, strict parents have rebellious kids who go crazy when they get to college, which may be the case here.

This woman from my town is super Catholic, goes to Latin mass every day, always stirring up trouble with the public schools regarding the required reading, etc. But guess what? Her 3 sons all do drugs and are always in trouble with the cops and school.

In summary, expensive school =/= rich parents =/= strict parents =/= well-behaved kids

Not to mention that this PNM/troll claims to live in Memphis, which I would say that most people do not even consider to be part of the "South."

Whatever. I am over her.

Who wouldn't consider Memphis to be in the South? It's not Deep South, sure, but definitely the South.

But yeah about the troll.

That is why I put "South" in quotes. When all these posters-trolls and otherwise- come on and spout about being oh-so-southern and speak of "Southern Sororities" they seem to only consider the Deep South as south and not include all the other fine locations that fall below the Mason-Dixon line. (notes the Native Texan who considers herself fully Southern ;))

Wow, two smilies in one paragraph. So Earpish of me...

Ah, gotcha. A Tar Heel can relate.

Yeah, this is the same precious child who couldn't figure out why The Southern Belle Primer (written by a Texan) was subtitled Why Princess Margaret Will Never Be a Kappa Kappa Gamma, since Kappa wasn't founded in the South and therefore apparently can't be a "Southern sorority."

There aren't enough :rolleyes:s.

libelle 06-20-2010 11:27 PM

Actually, The Southern Belle Primer" was written by a Mobilian who relocated to Texas ;-)
