I received my order today!

Jill1228 08-23-2015 08:23 AM

4 of my orders arrived. 1 more left to receive

Sciencewoman 08-23-2015 08:34 AM

Everything arrived Thursday and Friday. Went out to the chapter house yesterday to check in early move-in girls, and the first mail delivery was a LP package for one of the residents. Not surprised!

Griffins&Quills 08-23-2015 08:40 AM

I'm still waiting on my order to ship. It's under my account and says processing. Except the charge dropped off my card.

lovespink88 08-25-2015 02:25 PM

Something is fishy going on with mine. I had two orders. One shipped out but is no where to be found on my bank statement--even in the "pending transactions" portion.

The one that hasn't shipped yet is in pending transactions but is still pending shipment. I have a bad feeling I won't get that shipment (which will be sad because it's the bigger shipment). But if that happens, I suppose it's just divine intervention that this was stuff that didn't need to be purchased lol

Griffins&Quills 08-25-2015 03:54 PM

When I called, they said the larger orders were taking longer to ship.

My final order has shipped and will be here on Thursday :D
Of course it was the first or second order I placed (a popover and 2 sweaters)

Final tally between LP and 6pm.com
6 popovers, 2 sweaters, a scarf, and a dress

The card went screaming out of my wallet and locked itself down! :o

IndianaSigKap 08-25-2015 11:09 PM

I have heard nothing about my second order. But if it doesn't come, that's ok. I can live because I love the shorts from my first order!!

SoCalGirl 08-26-2015 10:47 PM

I keep finding Lily items on the clearance racks at Target. If I wanted to lounge in a Lily hammock in a Lily swimsuit or jumpsuit, I could do so easily.

Really? Lilly for Target was such a mess here. I found some candles and the pineapple juicer thing(?) a few weeks later, but nothing big.

Ditto. Can't find jack here in VA
My final order from the Lilly sale arrived today. I'm so done

AmoXO 08-27-2015 11:40 PM

No Lilly for Target in MD, either.

I had to return my Janice shift -- it was so bad for my body shape. Kept my pink Arya tank, my navy popover, my yellow rose Elsa, and the two baby Lilly shifts for my daughter.

Yay, western states, same thing out here in Colorado, lol

AZTheta 08-29-2015 10:45 AM

Little bit of a swerve but I just picked up the last three 18"x18" pieces of vintage Lilly Pulitzer Kappa Alpha Theta fabric on the auction site we all know and love (tongue in cheek). It was sold out within an hour, wish I'd checked earlier, I would have bought more.

I have plans for that fabric. It's made by Key West, 100% cotton, from back in the day when Lilly fabric was available by the yard. I haunt all sorts of sites searching for vintage Lilly. I've been known to cut up old shirts and dresses for use in quilts. That fabric - those colors and prints - nothing quite like it.

So if you ever tire of a Lilly dress or shirt and want to send it my way I would gladly take it off your hands!

Griffins&Quills 08-29-2015 10:52 AM

Has anyone else noticed that the sizing is very inconsistent? I always have to buy much smaller sizes at Lilly than I normally wear, and before the sale, I had actually tried on the Janice shift in store to figure out the size I needed, and the one that arrived fits but is tighter in the chest than the one I tried on. Glad I waited for the sale and didn't pay full price, because I'm a little disappointed by the quality.

I love the vintage Lilly patterns. In the last two years, I have purchased two vintage shifts for less than $30 each. Both were in great shape! I love them. You won't be getting those for scrap anytime soon! :D

Sizing is WILDLY inconsistent. I'm anywhere from a 0 to a 4 depending on the dress style and season, which frustrates me to no end because I'm never sure what size to get when I'm shopping online. I have a pair of Callahan shorts and a pair of Buttercup scalloped shorts both from this summer that are 2s and fit well, then I ordered a different pair of Callahans from this summer and the 2s didn't fit at all!

Griffins&Quills 08-29-2015 06:13 PM

^Same. I have a Franco dress in Peel & Eat that's a 4, and the Janice I just ordered is a 0. A dress in Lulu in S and a Palmetto dress I just ordered in XXS. And I have a different Janice that I guess is a knit version, so it's on the letter sizing instead of the number sizing and that's an XS. It's very frustrating.

Sciencewoman 01-04-2016 08:26 AM

Get ready! The winter sale starts today at 8 am. One day only, online only. The "get a spot in line" system will be used again.

Logged on at 8, and was 15,XXX in line. It look about 55 minutes to get in. My daughter found 2 dresses, a sweater, and a "Croakies" style sunglasses strap (her first pattern choice disappeared from her cart, but she found another pattern).

lovespink88 01-04-2016 02:27 PM

Spent some time shopping...then emptied my cart.

Honestly, there was nothing I NEEDED. Lots of cute stuff but I'm just proud of myself for not being so impulsive with purchases. (Being better with finances is my new years resolution). I'm actually a bit shocked it was so easy to just empty the cart...

Hope you all had great finds! :)

http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/icons/icon14.gif I do this too. Usually , I don't have the $$ to buy stuff anyway. :)

Griffins&Quills 01-04-2016 06:20 PM

Got a great deal on the Toucan Play Delia that I've been pining after, just hoping it fits, considering the sizing issues Lilly always seems to have anymore.

I wish they would just bring back the sorority scarves. Couldn't care less about the rest of the crap like the stupid white board, but how I wish I could just find the scarf.

Also, I refreshed right at 8am and was 6000something in line, and it went okay, but did anyone else think there was less selection than normal? I was disappointed not to see the Dripping in Jewels Elsa on sale, but maybe for the next sale. Better for my bank account that way.

They also announced on facebook that they will not be holding the warehouse sale this year. Which of course happens the year that I'm actually close enough.

clemsongirl 01-05-2016 12:53 AM

Completely agree that there was less than normal on the main website, and that the prices weren't as great as last year. I ordered from The Pink Door in Memphis, which had a much better selection and way better prices. Got the Delia in Big Flirt and the Marlow top in Lilly's Lagoon for steals plus they shipped them out today!

ilove2shop247 01-05-2016 01:11 PM

I bought some of the target stuff and have been disappointed in quality.

Griffins&Quills 01-05-2016 04:48 PM

Idk, I thought some of the prices were way better than before. I was expecting the dress I got to be around $88 based on the price for the Delia summer sale, and it was only $59. And they shipped mine out last night, it's supposed to be here tomorrow. Of course I only bought the one thing though.

Sciencewoman 01-05-2016 07:24 PM

I thought the prices were good, too. But I'd agree the selection was more limited. Our total for 2 dresses, a sweater, and the eyeglasses strap was about $171, with tax and free shipping.

So far, we've always had good luck with sizes, but there are some fitted items that I think would be risky buys because there isn't much wiggle room on the fit (like the shorts).

Griffins&Quills 01-06-2016 07:48 PM

My dress got here and it's perfect, so excited! I will say however that Lilly's sizes are far from true-to-size. I ordered a 0 and it's still even a half a size large.

SoCalGirl 01-07-2016 01:29 AM

I spotted Lilly on 6pm.com, zappos's discount site.

Jill1228 01-07-2016 05:35 PM

I was glad I was able to go to the warehouse sale last year. It was my first time. I am kind of disappointed that they are not having the sale this year. Of course my husband is probably rejoicing

jolene 08-22-2016 01:43 PM

There's a big Lilly sale going on at Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=s9_acss..._i=14978415011

clemsongirl 08-22-2016 02:00 PM

I shopped the After Party Sale this morning and scored a couple things I had been eyeing all summer, so I'm thrilled!

Griffins&Quills 08-22-2016 05:51 PM

I got two Elsas in Lover's Coral and Cheeky Melon Rule Breakers :D

jolene 08-23-2016 03:12 PM

Sale on iPhone cases: http://www.6pm.com/lilly-pulitzer-ip...en-pink-colony

clemsongirl 08-23-2016 03:45 PM

Oops, I ended up with two more items somehow :P Got the Cosmos silk tank top in Barefoot Princess and the Vero Bauble bracelet in Lovers' Coral. My mom had to talk me out of buying more because I was just so excited when the second round of items came in this morning.

txAOII_15 01-05-2017 08:21 PM

Anybody shop the After Party Sale this year? I haven't been a huge fan of the prints lately, so I only purchased 3 items this time, 2 Sophies and a pair of Kelly pants. Got the Sophies in Multi Exotic Garden and Multi Psychedelic Sunshine and the Kelly pants in Get Trunky. I personally didn't have any problems getting in line or checking out but it will be a waiting game to see if my items actually ship.

Jill1228 01-05-2017 09:12 PM

There might be 11 items I'll be slipping into the house :D
1 skort, 2 shorts, 1 popover, 5 dresses and 2 tops.

Griffins&Quills 01-06-2017 04:31 PM

This was the worst sale experience I've ever had with them. 3-4 hours of waiting with the site crash downtime. I got one dress, and then they released the Sophie dress later which I would've rather had. I hate this releasing new things later in the sale gimmick. And I did better on the price on an Elsa on Amazon than LP.
