A great way for all the groups to start off the year and sets a great precedence for Theta's colonization as well. :) |

Your numbers are correct with Alpha Gamma Delta (60)
I also noticed where Zeta took a girl from the UK. Talk about out of the region! |

I'm sorry if I was offensive. I was thinking more of Mrs. Bush's position as first lady as opposed to her politics. I thought that she might serve as a point of identification for a mom who didn't seem to be at all familiar with the org. ETA: What great numbers! :) |
I saw that! (UK). I also saw 4 from Oklahoma and three from the Cincinnati region--Cinci, West Chester and Lebanon... also a little far from home.
Has Auburn been using release figures for long? |

What is interesting was two of the Ohio girls went DZ. DZ always seems to pick up girls from Southwestern Ohio who live near the Miami U Alpha Chapter. There were girls from Ohio that went Pi Phi, DG and Zeta too. |
Wow, what a great example of RFM! And I believe Auburn has been using RFM for at least a couple years (I want to say three). Someone else would know better though.
And as for out of state PNMs, I saw at least two from the NW! |

You know, I didn't even notice that.... the DZ connection is interesting. Not only is Alpha Chapter at Miami, their HDQ are in Oxford too.... There must be some active DZ alums really writing great recs for the Cincinnati area girls. |

There are a few (clueless) people who see all those women listed and make the assumption that Theta is a "republican" sorority. You are right- Laura Bush is a great point of identification, and is a great ambassador for Theta. Amy Grant is also still involved and helps to promote many of Theta's great programs. Not to imply that famous women are necessary for a sorority to be great... not at all. Theta has just been fortunate to have some strong, well-known women who continue to stay involved beyond the college years. Yay for that. |
I thought it was interesting to see girls from Maryland, Minnesota, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, New Jersey, Illinois, Massachusetts, even California
I'm sooo happy to see someone from my city! She went GPhiB, yay....triad love!! |

If I remember right, same thing happened at Bama last year. 2 or 3 girls from the Cinci area went DZ. Typically, a lot of collegians from Cincinnati go Greek and there are a lot of alums in the area. Cinci is a lot more like the South than the rest of Ohio, and not just due it being geographically South. |
I am so flippin' excited that Alpha Xi made quota plus! I also very glad to see that everyone made quota.

sorry to hijack.... Hope all of the Auburn New Members are happy! Come and post your stories, moms and daughters. |
Hi all! I'm brand new to greekchat. Just saw the recruitment results for AU and wanted to wish CONGRATS to all the great new members at Auburn! Sounds like a fantastic recruitment for everyone. And of course a special welcome to the new baby Xi's!

On Auburn's list is the stepdaughter of an ADPi friend of mine who used to live in my town-the girl went ADPi! I know her stepmother is beyond thrilled! The girl's older sister is an Auburn graduate, but wasn't a member of any sorority. However, another sister is currently a Phi Mu at a Georgia university, so they're keeping it to Macon Magnolias. Great news!!
