I like her name a lot. It has a beautiful background!! Congrats to the new parents.

Now that they have had the baby--maybe people will get off of their nuts.

Also, I know I haven't studied any Hebrew in forever, but I'm almost positive "Suri" does not mean princess. However, I believe "Sara" and "Sari" do.

Katie I got 3 words for ya: RUN LIKE HELL!

LMAO. I had the *exact* same thought... except I envisioned Billy Crystal singing that song in When Harry Met Sally.

i heard somewhere that it might have been a silent birth. does that mean no noise? i dont believe that. especially when a 7 pound animal comes sliding from under there.

So now we sit and wait for the tabloid reports on the freaky scientology crap that they subject the baby to.

That's what I said when I first heard it. Unless my Hebrew has all of the sudden just stopped making sense.

Same here....unless "Suri" is some local dialect.

I think Shari and Sharon also mean princess.

There was different idea on what "silent birth" really meant. Some said that it was NO NOISE, completely silent. Others said that there was no noise except for a few grunts by the mother.

I was watching the Today show today and they said they talked to Tom Cruise, who as you know knows "everything" about scientology, and he said that the "silent" part only comes into play with the doctor. The mother can scream or whatever, but the doctor and the nurses must stay quiet so that the baby can enter the world in a harmonious place.

What I also understand (i was watching CNN or something like that where they talked to some doctor guy and he said this) is that neither Tom nor Katie and speak to the newborn for 7 days. For the first seven days of little Suri's life, her parents can't speak to her.

I'm curious how the hell that is good for the baby?

I'm no OB, but babies can hear noises in utero. I've heard that we (humans) don't remember our births because they were "so traumatic". If that is the case, can you imagine how much more traumatic it would be if your first bonding with your parents included no words of love or comfort from them? WTF?

Seriously, these doctorines of Scientology boggle my mind!

Oh wait, it's probably because I believe in God.

People Magazine said that Katie gave birth down the hall from where Brooke was also giving birth.

Forget being a fly on the wall in the daycare! What about being at the maternity ward?:p
