I'm so glad SK at UF did so well! When i read that article on UF greeks needing improved it said their size was in the 30s. I think its awesome they more than doubled their chapter!

I think SK at UF got 30 girls just during formal recruitment last year so I'm pretty sure their size wasn't in the 30s. But they did do a good job. :)

I think it was EXTREMELY ignorant of that article to bring up their size and no one else's. :mad: So I'm really glad that they did so well in rush.

UF's SK chapter had more than 90 when that article was printed. The did not have an NMs listed from the last year.

well that was really stupid. it made it sound like they had only 30 members...

Ole Miss update: there are 702 girls signed up so far and the last to do register is Sept. 2, 2005.

Our chapter posted in the thread in our forum. I am remembering 51 but don't quote me on that.

There are 730 girls signed up for Ole Miss Recruitment as of 8/29/05, the deadline is this Friday to sign up. More will probably sign up as the deadline gets closer.

Living in California, it's exciting to read about recruitment at these big southern schools. Over here, everything is very laidback & it seems like the PNM's (at least at my school) are very relaxed & don't put as much time or effort into their appearance as the girls down south. I'm not saying they look awful but they don't come to recruitment wearing those cute dresses & sandals. Our girls are very relaxed wearing jeans, capris, & the ocassional skirt.

DPhiE at University of Florida made quota plus, but I don't know what the plus is.

What I heard was that most of the sororities made Quota or Quota Plus, but that a large number of PNMs didn't pick up their bids. I think ADPi has something like 3 openings for the year.

Isn't this the second SEC school where allegedly a "large number" didn't accept their bids / didn't show up for Bid Day? Is this an urban legend going around this year, or is something a little strange going on?

Forgot the SEC part of this thread! That information was about University of Southern California - but it IS true!
