I'm watching the re-air of the BET awards (I missed the original airing). The segment with Stevie Wonder and John Legend is off the hinge.....

and I'm cracking up watching this show in light of this thread. yall crazy. :D

i get geeked when i see texas represent!! i was all over the mike jones/slim thug/paul wall performance with big bank hank throwing money. i took classes with paul wall at the univ of houston my freshman year and i remember when he was part of the street team for swishahouse. he even came to a step practice we had one time. he is soooo cool. that's why i get excited to see him on bet, mtv, vibe, source and whateva else. i don't care what nobody says, call the tow truck cuz the south wrecked it!!!!

Cosign, cosign! I had the dubious honor of watching the show at a friend's home not once, but twice on Sunday. I remarked to my husband, "How come he managed to attend and many of the awardees didn't?"

Anyway - I saw the BET awards and all I can say is - a hot mess. I thought last year's was much better - especially the old school rap part.

Who was that in the Missy performance that took his shirt off? Music should never make you loose that much control. :rolleyes:

What's up with Lauryn Hill - not only did she sound bad, but she looked awfully skinny (unhealthy).

I fast forwarded my Tivo thru most of it, but I had to go back to the lap dance after I read the posts. :o

I was stunned at how fine T.I. looked on the red carpet. He cleans up very nicely!
