Tara was my favorite, but Jessica is definitely the more compatable one. I felt so badly for her when she was getting sick, especially since we knew she was getting rejected.

As for them sleeping together: yes, she should have said no. At the same time, though, he shouldn't have if he knew there was a possibility that he would not pick her. She may have thought that he was truly in love with her, but he couldn't say his feelings. I think Tara was emotionally unstable at the time, and said what she said because of her feelings. I guess it's a double-edged sword. I guess we'll find out at the reunion next week :)

And yes, Jessica watching from inside was totally tacky. She should have given them privacy to say goodbye.

jesse just wanted his cake and eat it too. he knew that he was not going to pick that one girl so he sleeps with her just to "get some" since he won't be getting it from her after he picks the other girl.

I've always thought the Bachelor slept with the girls on their overnight dates. I'm sure Tara has seen the Bachelor before and she knew how the game was played. She also knew that there was a chance that she wouldn't be picked and Jesse thought there could be a chance that he would pick her. So while none of this makes it "right", everyone involved knew what was at stake and clearly made decisions that he or she regretted.

I think the thing is that we are all jumping to conclusions that they slept together. For all we know what Tara considered "inappropriate" was them making out or what he said to her. Peoples perceptions on inappropriate comments and doings are going to vary person from person, so it's just a "guess" right now that they did in fact sleep with each other. But we really don't know either way unless one of the parties steps up and says "yes we had sex".

I'm watching it right now, and I don't think that Jessica really had a clear shot of what was going on due to the foliage. I also think that it might have something to do with the producers strategically placing her there. I don't think she would go in and say, I want to be somewhere where I can watch! I think we've learned from this show that just about everything WE see is deliberate.

Tara was kind of scary tonight. She just seemed REALLY cocky coming in to it, and then was mad when she was rejected. Understandable of course, but I think she was totally caught off guard.

I remember once when Trista was on Good Morning America or something promoting the ending of the Bachelorette. The topic of sex came up and Trista said something like about her pretty much having to sleep with the two remaining men to see who she was really compatible with.

That's really sad if someone needs to sleep with two people to make sure they are "really compatible."

I agree, we have NO idea whether she meant they slept together! She would barely kiss the guy, I can't imagine that she would've slept with him, but that's just my opinion.

Mandy Jaye was interviewed on the radio here (she's on every week) and she said they always opt to go "behind the closed door" even though it looks like they are going to sleep together. She said that's because it's the only place they can talk without cameras around. She also said she is still VERY close to Tara and Jessica and sees them often. OH, and she said that Trish will make another appearance on "After the Final Rose"...interesting!

I know she would have to quit law school (wherever she is going) but there are law schools in NY. I think it is definately important that they be in the same state/town, otherwise the relationship will most likely not survive. I also think that she needs to get used to the publicity. We know that that was Jenn and Andrew's problem. He was used to the publicity and the cameras while Jenn was more of an introvert. Until things calm down it comes with the publicity, she is just gonna have to get used to the cameras following them around. They just really have to work on saving the relationship because the odds are against them.
Actually, if I do remember correctly, on the episode before the season finale, Jessica told Jesse that she applied to a a few law schools in NY. So, she was planning ahead. Hopefully she got into one...but I don't see her much of a lawyer type....

I think he should move to wherever she is. Many pro football players don't make a permanent residence in the city where they play. Elisabeth (Survivor) married Tim Hasselback (Seattle Quarterback) and then got a job on The View. They moved to New York so she could be by her job. He's on the road a lot during football season and can live anywhere during the off season. Besides that, he could get traded or injured or just dumped any time. She has less flexibility if she's in law school.

I thought she was already in law school? Maybe I'm just guessing. I mean 22 seems kind of young, in my book, to have already completed your Bachelors Degree and she did have to take this semester off to film The Bachelor. Makes sense now. ;)

DZHBrown 05-22-2004 12:03 AM

She finished her undergrad degree in 3 years at East Carolina and she just finished her first semester or year of law school. She said that she's hoping to hear from NY law schools within the next month.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet (and I didn't have time to read through 15 pages!), but I just found out that Jessica Bowlin is a Delta Zeta from East Carolina University. Her mom is also an ECU Delta Zeta; she was apparently on one of the episodes?

I wish I'd have known; I would have watched the show! :)

did anybody watch the "after rose ceremony". it was on tonight. i saw previews of tara confronting trish and then walking off the set. looked really juicy HAHAHAH

valkyrie 05-27-2004 02:15 AM

I didn't think it was really as juicy as the previews made it out to be, but I can say that Tara is a complete trainwreck.
