Good Evening Ladies of Pi Phi,

This afternoon I took the badge that I won off of Ebay by the bookstore where my Pi Phi friend works; I had her close her eyes and I placed it above her heart. It was an honor to get her a new badge after she had lost hers.

She told me that it was prophetic that she stated she was just thinking about her iniaition the other day. Since Pi Phi has chapters at Vandy ( I think ) and UT-Knoxville, I am going to encourage her to go.

Take care and God Bless.

Zeta Phi 708

* ZetaPhi -- that is soooo sweet of you!!!!!

* I found another Pi Phi pin on ebay. It's not listed as a Pi Phi pin, so maybe that will keep the price down. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MEWA:IT

Ooo, thank you texasprincess, I believe I'd like to bid on that!

It always makes me sad to see people selling their pins. I looked on ebay a the one being sold which zeta phi bought and I kind-of freaked b/c the girl lives in the same city as me. I know that may sound silly but it's weird to think this alum might live really close to me.

Anyway, just thought the whole selling your pins thing is really sad, party shirts are one thing but NOT your pin.

ZetaPhi708 03-03-2005 02:14 AM

uhh, hope i did not offend anyone on the board by buying the pin...I was using ebay cuz that is the only place i thought to get one, since i theorized that your national website might only sell to the members of Pi Phi....

She might have bought a jeweled pin and wanted to sell it in a honest location or something like that....

msalphapiphi 03-03-2005 02:32 AM

NO NO NO!!! I was trying to say I think it is sad that a former Pi Phi could part with a pin, which symbolizes all the great things she had during her college days as a Pi Phi.

I thought it was VERY touching what you did with it.

Sorry if I wasn't clear...it's getting late here :)

ZetaPhi708 03-03-2005 02:38 AM

oops sorry; kinda tired here too....

Jill1228 03-22-2005 05:53 PM

Was on ebay tonight and there are three badges listed, plus a Mother's Pin bundled with a Kappa badge (strange that the seller didn't separate them as two items)

** pearl and ruby from the 40s with a Wisconsin Alpha name. Current bid is $51

**peart and sapphire listed as "vintage" but no date. Chain is broken but they are listing it with an opening minimum bid of $199.

**opal shaft and point from 1958 with a Kentucky Alpha name. That one is gorgeous and has a $10 bid.

Just an FYI if anyone is interested.
