Well, since Owen Nolan is my favorite player, and the B's have already choked, I think I gotta run with the Sharks - that game last night was sick, except for the part when the Sharks converted 4 odd-man rushes in the 3rd period into 2 shots and 0 goals. Good job boys. Jesus.
The Sharks dominated a good 10 min stretch to start the 3rd period, no excuse for losing that game. No reason to have to go back to Colorado for a game 7. The Sharks aren't a great match-up for Detroit - their D can be a little suspect at times (see Reinprecht's walk-around goal), and Nabokov is streaky like it's his job. However, they could definitely get up on the Wings quickly, like they did on the Avs. As far as the east - I have no love for the freaking Hurricanes or the Leafs, but I love watching the Sens play, so go Ottawa - bring back the olden days of Senators hockey. |

jesus, 3 hours and counting...it all comes down to this. I hope to hell they win, i'll never ever hear the end of it otherwise.

Ontario must be one crazy province right now... Go Sens

The Avs have the better first four or five players, but I hope that the Sharks can counter with their depth. And I heard that Roy is only 5 and 5 in game 7 matches...so the Avs are not unbeatable by a long shot. Teemu Selanne HAS to step up tomorrow night-he has to show that the trade the Sharks made for him was worth it. He cannot be outplayed by Forsberg again! Owen, Vinnie, Marco and Adam have to come up big. Mike Ricci is gonna bring it on, but they got to support him. It will not be easy, but they can do it, I hope! As for the matchup against the Red Wings, either SJ or Colorado has to bring everything against a well rested Wings team. I think that the Sharks can play with the Wings, as long as they start making penalty shots!

Roy is 5-5, but he is 3-0 in game 7's since last year (LA, NJ, LA (Again!))...
this has been the most bizarre series, for both teams - one game, they play their best hockey, the next, something seems to be lacking - that's true for both teams.... I'm still convinced (unfortunately) that it really doesn't matter who wins the series - Detroit has had and will have several more days to rest and heal before facing whoever comes out of the semis.... BTW - 1-0 right now, Toronto over Ottowa, game 7, 2nd period....sigh....I'd like to see Ottowa move on... |
Whoever wins tomorrow night I hope can beat Detroit. I think Colorado will win though, they just have too much talent.
Lil g, I agree about what you said about the sj-det matchup. In the east, Ottawa/Toronto should easily beat Carolina. |
I'm disappointed that Toronto won, but hopefully Carolina will beat them. Tomorrow night's game should be interesting...
|
F#$K!!! I've been subjucted to rooting for TO. The Leafs better knock off Carolina.
Hope Lil' G is holding up.. |

Why is that everyone out west is against TO? I just got in from the party on Yonge St..... it's getting closer and closer to the atmosphere around the Gold game every day now. However, the Leafs are hurting... so the next series should prove intresting. |

One thing that I regret is that we won't see the Leafs play against Les Habitants. Toronto is a great city; lots of stuff to see and do there! I just pretend that The Beaches is the ocean..... ;) Great to talk to you when I was there, gphi2k!! Quote:

Yeah it would be quite embarrassing for Toronto to lose to Carolina. I would like to see Carolina win although a Toronto-Detroit match-up would be a great original 6 matchup.
|
At least you all didn't have a power outage for much of the Toronto/Ottawa game. Thankfully, with about 9 minutes left in the third, the power came on, and I got to see the end. Man, Toronto is banged up, but that was a great comeback :) Woo, now I just need Colorado to win!! GO AVS!
