I'm for Taylor all the way. I enjoy him and his goofiness. Our radio station plays clips the day after, and I can honestly say that hearing Chris without looking at him, he didn't sound that great. He's such a band singer. I don't think the solo thing suits him at all. I like Elliot and Katharine, but I'm hoping Katharine goes next, then Chris, then Elliot. I'd buy Taylor's CD.

Unfortunately, I think Elliot will be next to go.

I'm really rooting for Taylor as well. I tried to vote for him (intermittently) over the two hours of voting the other night, and I couldn't get through once. So I take that as a good sign.

I really don't like Chris. He reminds me too much of Staind and Scott Stapp and crappy music like that.

And Katharine is great too, but I'd rather Taylor win. I think we're due for a male American Idol. Does anyone think Katharine looks like a prettier Katie Holmes?

But I'm excited (in a guilty pleasure sort of way) that So You Think You Can Dance? is coming back. With all the reruns of my favorite shows going on, at least I'll have something to watch for 4 months.

Omigosh, it is?! Yay! One of my best friends was on it last year and I TOTALLY loved Blake, even though he didn't win. It was just such a fun show to watch! We always sat at the house watching and talking about how we wished we could dance like them. :)

Elliot rocked tonight. I really enjoy him. And he had personality for all of those who normally think he doesn't.

I liked Katharine too. She messed up in the 1st song but until they called her out you only wondered b/c she covered it up well to me and she was really fun to watch. I dunno, I loved that 1st song despite what the judges said.

I thought Chris was bad last night. His second song stunk big time...... They loved it, but Simon ws right on, it was FLAT... He had no emotion and it stunk...

I thought Elliotts second song was really good and he deserves to be in the final 3 too.

Taylor is ok for me. It was good songs, but he just didn't make me wish he was the AI.

I think Chris will get a record deal no matter what.

I think based on last night Chris should go, but I don't think the fans will think that.

I think Katherine is gone. As much as I love her and want her to stay, she didnt have a great night and it seems everyone loves the boys this year.

It's usually right with the bottom group, and often with who goes. This time it says Chris & Katharine in the bottom with Chris going.

Thank God. Whenever the radio station played songs by that contestant, it didn't sound good. Without the look, there's not much there. They'll still be successful, but I'm glad with the outcome.

I don't even care to watch it anymore. I really don't understand what those of you who like Taylor see in him. He seems like a bad parody of a guy who can't dance but goes all out anyway. If I didn't have to see him, I like his singing, but his look, his dancing, it just makes me sick. I've broken up with guys because they danced like that. I surely don't want to see one in concert.

I think the problem with Chris is that he was too good to begin with. While everybody else has improved tremendously, he didn't have any room for improvement. He was already great. We've watched the others grow over time and they have come a really long way. I think that's why Bo lost last season too.

That said, I thought Chris was the best the whole season and I never based my voting on one night's performance. That is primarily because I hate when they do theme nights based on one artist. Having Kat do Elvis is just idiotic. Why not have a Kim Carnes night? Kat could do that and the guys would be out of there! Barbara Streisand night? Then Paris would have won. I don't mind having them do different genres like Motown, Country, etc. They still have choices of songs that work with their voice. But Elvis? Barely Manenough? (oops, our 70's nickname for Barry Manilow).

My kids will still want to watch the rest of this season, but I don't think I can watch Taylor anymore. Men who can't dance, SHOULDN'T!

Good, Chris is gone. I was right. I get that he has a good voice, I do. But is it the voice of AI? No. And there's your problem if you're upset with him going. AI is not a show for Chris. It doesn't really fit what he's going for or what he does. And let's be honest, he gave two lackluster performances this week and if we're only judging things by this week, he deserved to go.

Kat appeals to every lil girl out there. She's pretty and she has a good voice. Boys like her for that too, at least the pretty part.

Elliot just has an awesome singing voice. He's great.

Taylor is sort of the underdog in regards to what you'd expect an AI to be. He doesn't fit the mold, and yet he's still here and if he makes it to the finals, it'll be like the whole Ruben thing- people voting just b/c they're so sure he IS the underdog. He's a fun guy, but he doesn't really need to be around anymore.

Elliot and Katharine and young enough and marketable enough to be really successful AI's. Chris was too rock, and for weeks now he's been someone who I've ffwded through on my DVR. I love his voice, just not for this show.

That being said, I'm happy with the final 3, and we'll see what happens next week.

Chris looked pissed as he should have been. Katharing should have BEEN GONE.. she has an ok voice .. I hate when she goes into her upper register..it is horrible...

None of the remaining 3 are terribly marketable.. this season has been a bust overall........

I would have been sad to see either of them go. I really hope Taylor gets the boot next week. I haven't been a fan of him at all this season.

I've been wanting this top 3 for awhile, and I'm happy. Chris's band will still do well. I just don't like him as a solo singer. He'd be much better with a whole band. Katharine needs to go next. I like Taylor a lot for some reason. He's so real to me, I guess. I hope he wins it all, although I would be happy for Elliot to win as well.

You know I turned to Mr. JenMarie around 9:15 and said, "y'know... if TPTB really wanted to 'shock' everyone, they'd kick off Chris."

Low and behold... Chris gets Tamayra'd... or Latoya'd. The fourth spot is cursed every other season.

But that throws a wrench in the predictions. Many thought Chris was The Chosen One. The White guy rocker dude.

Well, and herein lies the other issue that I've had with AI for a long time now. I tried to vote. My daughter tried to vote from her dad's house. Neither of us could get through after trying repeatedly. If you can't ever get through, then how can you vote? Only by text message and sorry, but Cingular isn't getting any more of my money just so I can vote for AI. Wayyyy back when Ayla was kicked off, my daughter had tried to vote for her repeatedly too and could never get through. Makes me wonder if E19 deliberately ties up phone lines to make things interesting and shape the results.

American Idol all of a sudden is lame. Chris sparked my interest in the show once again for the first time since season 1. Who is this Elliott guy? All the contestants left on the show are definitely weaker than Chris. Katharine is the only one with potential left. Taylor looks and performs like sideshow bob, and I don't know how Elliott still remains in the comp.

America! You blew this one!

This is the best thing that could've happened for Chris. Chris' voice and style is best as a frontman of a rock band. If he won, he'd be singing cheesy pop/rock songs like Bo. This gives him the chance to do his own thing without being a slave to 19E forever.

Personally, I like Elliott the best but I don't think he has a chance of winning. He doesn't have the "look". If only they could take Ace's face and body and put it with Elliott's voice, they'd have the perfect American Idol. Milli Vanilli anyone? :)

He would be a great frontman for a rock band, but who's to say that the American Idol isn't supposed to be in a rock band? They could have created a band around him, or he could've been a rock solo artist. Regardless, everyone left on the show isn't nearly as good as Chris.

the phone system does just suck.. i can never get through when i am calling for elliot. a lot of people were complaining about this in richmond.. calling the tv station, phone companies.. soo...

a few places, even a phone company, have set up in richmond where they have phones for speed dial or something like that. i think cingular has set up where you can even come into their store during the time period and text message for free. the deal is you can vote for anyone you want, but its so people can get votes in for elliot..

each week more and more things are taking place to get people to vote for elliot and tomorrrow they are having a whole day of events planned bc American Idol is coming to tape him back here in richmond

We all said the same thing about Bo... how it would be awesome if he could get a rocking band to back him.

19E produces the next hot one minute item. And if Chris got a band... they'd probably make him sound more like Matchbox Twenty (no offense to the fans) than Fuel. The producers and subsequent label doesn't provide that kind of support. And the contract is HORRENDOUS. (Give us your first born, that type of isht.)

Chris is better off. He wouldn't have to wait 7 years or 5 albums to have a say in his career now.

And he seems to know TOO much about the industry. 19E likes 'em dumb.

No offense to you meant. I'm just saying 19E ain't the label for Chris and I'm glad he's gone... for his own good.

I am sad that he is gone, but I do agree with this statement. He will get a contract no matter what and I think he will probably be better off.
