What did Jada Pinkett-Smith say that has some people up in an uproar?

Angers Gay Activist, Sparks New Term
03.08.05

By Ross von Metzke

(Boston, MA) — According to a gay rights activist at Harvard University, Jada Pinkett-Smith is a heteronormative actress.
If you’ve never heard the word used in a sentence before, don’t feel surprised — beyond select academics and gay activists, it’s a word few use — that is until the wife of actor Will Smith angered one gay rights activist at a recent speaking engagement to theatre students at Harvard.

"Women, you can have it all - a loving man, devoted husband, loving children, a fabulous career," the actress said to a crowd of approximately 150 students at Sanders Theatre.

According to Jordan Woods, co-chair of Harvard’s Bisexual, Gay, Lesbian, Transgender and Supporters Alliance, the comments were “extremely heteronormative” and made members of BGLTSA uncomfortable.

In insect world news, Flava Flav, or Foofy Foof, was dumped by Brigitte Nielsen...

Flavor loses favor as Brigitte downsizes

Brigitte Nielsen has tied the knot - for the fifth time. The blond glamazon, 42, wed her Italian boyfriend of one year, Mattia Dessi, 28.
The couple, undaunted by differences of 15 years in age and 8 inches in height, exchanged vows at a resort in the Dominican Republic, jumping into the pool after saying "I do."

The "Surreal Life" star, who was once married to Sylvester Stallone, has moved to Milan to be with the diminutive Dessi, reports Hello! magazine.

What about Flavor Flav?

"That was strictly people working together," Nielsen's manager, Steven Tempone, told us.

So much for "Strange Love" ...

I can't believe Mattia would marry her after all this crap. And did Flav really think they were going to stay together?

I just watched it on launch. I like the Sex and the City theme. I'm happy that finally they have a video that relates to the song's lyrics.

Well that's what I'm trying to figure out, what did she say that was wrong???

Maybe they took it into offense that she was rubbing in the fact that she's not gay???

AKA2D '91 03-09-2005 07:52 PM

I guess they are POd b/c she says women can have it all... a loving MAN, a devoted MAN...career, children etc. etc.

I guess she wasn't supposed to say man, maybe man and woman...

UNLESS, they know something we don't. :o ;)

rho4life 03-09-2005 08:53 PM

I think they would have preferred her to say "a loving parter, great kids, and a kick-ass career".

I like Soror Star's clothes. Nice color, her breasts aren't exposed. BGA is still BGA.

A week after violence broke out between their entourages, rappers 50 Cent and The Game appeared together this afternoon to bury their beef and donate money to charities in New York and California.

The hip-hop stars appeared relaxed and smiling as they shook hands and announced donations of $253,000 to the Boys Choir of Harlem and an unspecified sum to the Compton Unified School District music program in Compton, Calif.

"In the shadow of the untimely death of Biggie, we are here to show that people can rise above even the most difficult of circumstances," said 50 Cent, referring to the shooting death of rap legend Christopher Wallace, who was also known as Biggie Smalls and the Notorious B.I.G. "Together we can put negativity behind us."
