I became a Founding New Member in Fall '00, my 1st semester of Freshman year... And became a Sister in Spring '01, 2nd semester of Freshman year. (I was one of a handful of the youngest Founders - everyone else were mostly Juniors, Seniors or in the Graduate program)

I pledge in the Spring of 1996. I was in my second semester of my freshman year of college.

My RUSH experience was a little different than most since I was a Founding Sister of my Chapter. I pledged and was initiatied in the Spring of 2007 when I was a 1st semester Senior.

I pledged Spring 98 2nd semester freshman

First semester freshman-Fall 1993

I joined Sigma during formal recruitment (fall) my sophomore year!

Part of the reason is that for most NPHC orgs you must be at least a sophomore to pledge.

That's often based on credit hours. So you can be a 1st year in "sophomore standing." But most people reach sophomore standing in their 2nd year.

I pledged Junior year.

I pledged my sophomore fall (Fall 2005)...our school has deferred recruitment so only sophmores can rush.

I pledged Chi Omega as a freshman in the fall of 1975.

Spring 1995 (theta class!!!)

Spring of my 4th year. Had to carry on the old-guy-pledge tradition...

Some require 12 credits.

But most require sophomore status which is generally 24 credits. That's why people tend to be sophomores (and up).
