Id on't remember, but that is a pretty good answer. Your turn to ask a question.
|
Where was "the first far western chapter of the sorority" established? (taken straight from my pledge book - but, the page is dated 9/78, so yours may not be word-for-word the same);)
|
Upsilon- Washington State University
Founded in 1912 |
Very good! Now your turn to ask!
|
What are the voluntary International Alumnae dues called and what are they used for?
|
ReMember Dues
* Assistance for new and reorganized alumnae associations and collegiate chapters * Improved and expanded use of technology for communications with associations, chapters, and our members at large * Training and support materials for volunteers working with collegiate chapters, alumnae associations and house corporations * Special assistance for chapters facing challenges * Six annual District Leadership Conferences providing training across North America * Aggressive expansion at prestigious universities and colleges * Expansion of the Alpha Delta Pi website ReMember Dues ARE voluntary, but go towards a wonderful cause! To contribute: http://www.alphadeltapi.org/pride/do...mberletter.htm My turn to ask a question What is IMPACT/VLS? When is it happening and how can I register? |
It will be June 24-27 in St. Louis. You can register by logging on to pride online and clicking on resource center. The very first item is Impact/VLS. Volunteer Seminar is to strengthen the team concept of ADPi and job specific training. Impact is to address the major issues facing ADPi and "her" chapters. (I am quoting directly, here).
My question has multiple parts" a.) What is Alpha Delta Pi's" Academic Honor Society"? b.) What is the mininmum gpa required to be in it? (Hint: there is a point to the number) c.) Where was this started? |
Well... the minimum GPA HAS to be 3.14.
But I have no idea what it is called or where it was started. Can anyone help me out? |
I'm embarrassed to admit, I didn't know that this existed!!
|
I know it... I just can't think of it right now... but I do want to say that it is all based on suggestions... No chapter has to follow it exactly... I know my chapter uses parts of it... but not all of it...
|
I haven't heard of this either. I think it is unique chapter to chapter, isn't it? The sorority's internat'l required GPA is a 2.0, but local bylaws can require a higher GPA of members and officers. (My chapter, for example, required a 2.8 min GPA when I was a student).
Chapters are encourages to have an ADPi honor society, where members who make dean's list, etc., are tapped and given pearl and gold ball dangles. A few chapters give incentives to members who have made "pi"-- a 3.14! :) |

I'm stumped! |
Ok, let me help ya out. It is called the Academic Honor Society . It was stared as a motivalonal program to recognize soisters who have a min gpa of 3.14. The first time you recieve a certificate the nest two times you recieve ribbons fro your certificate and the next time you get a scholarship pearl. There is a ceremony to indicate sisters into it. It was started at Delta Eta. No,it is not required. It was something that was done by Delta Eta in the 70's and EO adpoted it for other chapters use in their own will in scholarship plans. This is how it was written, but I am sure chapters have modified it to fit them. No, it is not required. So, who has the next question?
TT love and loyally, Brandi |
I'll bite....
