Can we stop criticizing the McCain supporters for booing? I remember the Kerry concession during the last election. His supporters were rather liberal in their boos. It's the way it goes when a candidate loses. To try to paint it as something more is allowing one's bias to get in the way of good common sense.

McCain's crowd was booing that McCain wasn't elected.

Like someone said earlier, the booing isn't necessarily an anti-Obama sentiment.

LOL - you're watching a different feed than I am - Grant Park clearly showed a tepid no-reaction, then a cut-out on the feed mics from CNN. Literally the "winning" equivalent of the McCain crowd.

This is an absurdity during an amazing moment - knock it off, all of you.

O.K. Get the f**k over yourself people. Please go ahead and move to Canada if you're so pissed at America. Do the country a favor and move. Stop leaving pissy facebook messages and myspace comments about how you should move to another country because of who we voted in as the next President.

/end rant

Listen to Obama - our president-elect said stop being petty and partisan. So stop it!

I've been bawling since Fox News (yes) called it. This is so awesome. I know I talk about my nephew a lot to some of you guys, and he is just tickled pink. He really looks up to Barack Obama, and I am so happy that he can look to the President-Elect and see a man who looks like him. This is just so great. My grandparents lived in Jim Crow Florida, Tennessee, and Alabama, and I'm sure they never expected to see this in their lifetime.

Those are also some cute little girls. I'm glad they're getting that puppy.

Also, Inauguration will be held the Tuesday after the MLK birthday holiday.

Obama is a great speaker, but I feel like in the future, when perhaps the best rhetoritician may not be the smarter of the two candidates like today, it may be important for the American people to know that the plural of "anecdote" is not "data" . . . however, other than the 106 year old woman as the weak anchor, I like this a lot.

nittanyalum 11-05-2008 01:15 AM

Ok, the story about the 106-year-old actually pulled a sob out of me.

Yes we can.
