Industry insiders believe that Brandy was in fact pregnant before she even intimately involved with Smith. During her down time Brandy was spotted several places with her current fiancé Quentin of the Los Angeles Clippers as well as Beverly Hills restaurants with L.A Lakers player Kobe Bryant.
“Brandy and Kobe have been friends for a long time and yes, she was there for him a lot of times when he needed someone to talk to and Robert never had a problem with that. He understood their bond.” is what Brandy’s former manager Benny Medina had to say.

A close acquaintance of Brandy’s even alleges that Brandy’s father used the church money from his congregation to pay Robert to go along with everything.
“If the baby was Kobe’s there’s no way Kobe would want any part of that because he’s married. So Willie and Sonja used Robert as a scapegoat to save Brandy’s image and her deteriorating career. Robert was fine with it then, now he’s just bitter.” Says the acquaintance.

Bryant , who was recently acquitted of rape charges, denies that he’s been anywhere with Brandy in a long time. “Brandy is going through a tough time right now, and I wish her the best” is all he had to say.

Brandy’s family had no comment when asked if Brandy will go through with the paternity test. Sonja Norood, Brandy’s mother responded with” We are busy trying to plan a wedding and prepare for Syrai’s birthday party”
The way I figure it, if Brandy is POSTIVE that Rober is the daddy, then she should be RUNNING to have Syrai tested. All her mom did is help the perception there is something to hide by saying they are busy planning a wedding and birthday party! WTH!

Marine Chooses Wedding Ring Over Finger

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (AP) - When Marine Lance Cpl. David Battle learned he'd either have to sacrifice his ring finger or the wedding band he wore, he told doctors at a field hospital in Iraq to cut off the finger.

The 19-year-old former high school football star suffered a mangled left hand and serious wounds to his legs in a Nov. 13 fire fight in Fallujah. Battle, who is recovering at his parents' home in this desert city 80 miles northeast of Los Angeles, came under attack as he and fellow Marines entered a building. Eleven other Marines were wounded.

Doctors were preparing to cut off Battle's ring to save as much of his finger as they could.

``But that would mean destroying my wedding ring,'' he said. ``My wife is the strongest woman I know. She's basically running two people's lives since I've been gone. I don't think I could ever repay her or show her how grateful ... how much I love my wife, my soul mate.''

With his approval, doctors severed his finger, but somehow in the chaos that followed, they lost his ring.

Although Battle was disappointed, his wife, Devon, said she was honored.

``I can't believe he did that,'' she said. ``At first I was mad when he told me, but then I realized how lucky I am to have him in my life.''

The couple, who met in the eighth grade, were married in June, just two weeks before Battle left for Iraq. He hopes to eventually return to the Marines, and to replace his wedding ring, but that will have to wait until he recovers.

In the meanwhile, Battle's high school has planned a banquet in his honor next week.

``We need to make more David Battles,'' said Daniel Pierce, the school's assistant head coach. ``He is one amazing guy.''

I'm sorry but I think this is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard, and the fact that the doctor let him choose to loose his finger is crazy to me...hey just my opinion.

I agree with you. I would rather have my finger. It's not like the ring was going to be burnt to death.

Like I have always said about their relationship, they are two immature kids playing an expensive game of house!!! Someone one day is knock the s*** out of that simple minded boy and teach him a grown up lesson quick. Sometimes I wish somene on that team will knock his azz out, but the fine would not be worth it. I have known this for over a year. I remember when Robert appeared on Wendy Williams' radio show and was talking about how he had another grilfriend when he was with Brandy and that Brandy was just the jump off for his current relationship. And Syrai was born on Father's Day of 2002 (June 16th or so). And Wendy also heard that Syrai may not be his, so I'll be watching the drama unfold from the sidelines with my microwave popcorn and soda. :D :p
