They show the Superfriends on cartoon network sometimes, and this is another reason why DC characters suck. And wasn't there a monkey that was apart of the team, too?

If this isn't lame, then I don't know what is.

Mystique is awesomesauce, and I think Rebecca Romijn did a great job in the XMen movies

Yep, she played that part really well.

They don't compare to Marvel. And for villains, I like Rhino, Sandman, and the Juggernaut, just to name a few. Mystique is my favorite villain. She's so cool.

eta: and thanks for showing me who The Leader is, Daemon. I never heard of him.

We really gotta get you up on your comics....LOL

Well, it's not like I read them. And what's wrong with the characters I mentioned?

PrettyBoy 12-24-2010 01:52 AM

I started a new NASCAR season. I'm trying to finish NASCAR 09 before 11 comes out. I was disappointed, tonight. I led 70 out of 200 laps at the Daytona 500, and on the last lap, I got bumped by Jeff Burton, which caused my car to wiggle, so I came up short. I finished 3rd. I led the most laps, though. That gave me 10 extra bonus points.

Now, I can play X3 and AoE without any game delay. I can't wait until I get back home, so I can play it. Daemon, I am SO excited.:)

...anyway, I'm in need of a steering wheel for my 360 and PS3. These controllers make it much more difficult to control the car. I'm glad I didn't bring my 360 home with me. Since I got a PS3 for Christmas, I've been playing GT5 non stop.:D

I'm also geeked about Lancia's new Stratos GT2. It looks very similar to the original. Less is more.

GT5 is by far the best racing simulator I've ever played. I love Forza for the 360, but it's lacking detail. Both games are pretty much running neck and neck. The 360 background graphics are better, the cars are about equal, but GT5 has much more detail. It has night driving, light flashing, and even the windshield wipers work. You can even turn them off and on, nothing is computer controlled. They even change the oil, and work on the car, and it shows people doing the work. Forza doesn't have that. So far, I haven't seen "damage" like they said it has. I'm thinking I don't have something selected. I called my buddy and he said there is damage in it. Overall, both games are really good, but GT5 gives the racing enthusiast more racing detail. I stayed on that thing for 5 hours last night. I'm really enjoying my vacation.:D

Plus, I've always thought Microsoft was always one step ahead of Sony with the XBox. I also think Forza Motorsport has always been one step ahead of Gran Turismo. I'm sticking with the XBox.

Forza Motorsport 4 is in the works.

LOL. I know people who took a week off for WoW: Cataclysm.

Five hours was probably the amount of sleep they got.

That sounds like one of my line brothers. He played WoW like it was his career. I tried watching him play a few times, but never could get into it.

eta: $10 bucks he's playing it right now as we speak (probably with an empty bowl of chitlins in front of him).

I've put enough hours into WoW for it to count as a 2nd full-time job.

You can't get into it by watching. If you don't take a character from scratch and watch them grow its pretty hard to just observe and understand. Bonus points if you pay attention to the lore.

I've watched his ex-wife start a character from scratch and "build" it, but it still didn't interest me. Ahh, well...

I totally disagree with these two statements, the X-Men movies didn't do her character any justice at all. Mystique in the comics was a leader, the movies portrayed her as a lackey to Magneto.

Agreed, they got some of it right but didn't develop her character well.

It's really close. They're still running neck and neck, but just those few details in GT5 give it the edge over Forza. They could have kept the NASCAR out, though. It's not the same as EA's NASCAR. Forza has the edge when it comes to the cars. There are more cars and better cars in Forza. GT5 doesn't have Porsche in it, but Forza does. GT5 doesn't have as many BMWs in it, either. What's a racing game without a 1972 BMW CSL? I'd better stop before I go into my car talk again.:D

That was just one night. I didn't mention the others. I visit with my parents when they're awake, but as soon as they go to bed, it's time for me to get busy driving. Plus my dad has a 55" LCD in the rec room. I'll be on it tonight probably until about 6am. LOL.

It still doesn't change the fact that the actress played the part well. It also doesn't change the fact that Mystique is awesome. Pretty much the only two things we were talking about.

I posted this a few years ago, but I think you guys would love it, if you are not aware already:

Kingdom of Loathing, think of it as Stick-figure MMORPG.

I've been playing it for 7 or 8 years (I forget), great community.

Also, I'm thinking of expanding my game base.....

Red Dead Redemption...opinions?
also....

Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2...I don't think I'm ready for Bioshock

Has anyone played Limbo?

I don't think any of the screenwriters read the comics, or didn't give a shit either way. I vaguely remember (in 2000) hearing Bryan Singer say something about not bothering to stay true to the comics because 99% of the target audience had never read an issue. Even so, the guy who played Colossus could have faked a Russian accent and WTF was up with Halle Berry's Storm and Cyclops and Jean being in their mid 30s but iceman being 14???

can't go wrong with any of those titles at all...Bioshock is a good game to play with the lights off!

I know for some of the other Marvel movies they've drawn a lot of inspiration from the Ultimates, I'm wondering if that's where some of the age difference came from. I haven't seen a lot of the Ultimate X-Men comics though so I don't remember if that's more similar.

I think they've learned from their mistakes though as far as the other Marvel/DC movies are concerned.
