One of my SL friends is in a group called "Farm Town not Ghost Town." Are people defecting to that Farmville thing with the lost cow? I would gladly take a lost cow, I just don't want to play Farmville. (Growing up there was enough.)

I know that there were some comments about people making houses that used NPC sorority names, but I'm short on time and kind find it to quote it.

Anyways, I was using a website for work called Polyvore, where you can make collages and stuff. I got curious and searched what items were listed under "Alpha Xi Delta". A few pictures of pools, some blue and yellow butterflies and a couple of sets of letters came up in the results. I clicked on one of the pictures of a pool, and saw it was posted by a girl with the user name "taylor.miss.alpha.xi.delta". I click on the user, and she describes herself as a 16 year old who founded the sorority Alpha Xi Delta. :confused:

I tried a couple other GLOs and found similar results for Kappa and Zeta, however, the person who had originally posted those pictures no longer had a profile.

My guess was that this person was using polyvore to make a college for their SL sorority (The picture of the pool, and the houses and rooms for Zeta and Kappa, I'm guessing were pictures of the "house"). I think I wouldn't mind as much if she wasn't blue and yellow as well...

ETA: Okay, so I searched groups for Alpha Xi Delta and found 3 results. One group used "realize your potential". Another claims: "These girls have the grades, the looks, leadership and hot body's. These girls participate in many sports, but also aren't afraid to party hard. Sisterhood and friendship are the most important. Out Moto is "Hoes before Bros". Though this is our moto, this doesnt mean boys aren't important, cause they are. These girls date the hottest boys on campus, and aren't afraid to get down and dirty. Image is not everything."

I've only played a couple times in the past couple weeks, because I keep spending $9000 on spa treatments, and then getting my ass beat before I can even use the confidence points I just got. I'm on level 45 or something, and I only have 17 people in my house. A lot of my friends aren't on Facebook enough during the summer to sign up.

And question... if random people write on my board under "my stats" and ask me to join their house, how do I do that?

This game is frustrating. I'm very close to just quitting altogether. Maybe I'll go check out that Farmville thing...

Once you get in the higher levels, if you don't have a lot of sisters you will get your butt kicked. You can join one of the SL adds groups - I'm in a smaller one and it has been helping. I leave the people on my friends list for a few days and then defriend them, but they stay in your sorority.

I still want to know how a PRIVATE YACHT is worth 0/0 fighting, yet a bicycle is at least worth 1/2??

And people need to stop gifting me worthless junk that only adds to my Upkeep. I'm in a house of 39 and over half of my house fights with a Hummer Limo, Mocha Suede Boots, and an outfit with 15+ charm. I don't need another Deco Formal. I wish they at least had a "Do you have more gifts to accept?" option like Farmville.

You don't have to accept the gifts--and they're useful because you can immediately turn around and sell them. Free cash! No upkeep on cash. :rolleyes:

But how do you add random people who request for you to join their house? I only know them through their SL name. I'm guessing I have to become their friend through Facebook?

giant nay, mostly because they are using real sorority names and the cartoon girls look like they've been snorting coke for 489 hours straight. I also am having a hard time reading my energy/confidence etc.

I kind of like the closet thing, but I don't understand why the large pic doesn't show the outfit I'm actually wearing.

I can't read my stats either. I don't think I'm going to be playing much longer anyway. I went from 550 confidence down to 40 in less than 3 minutes today. I only have 33 house members. I wish we could add people without having to FB friend them.

You can FB friend them, invite them & have them join, then get rid of them.

Down at the bottom of the closet there's a clear button to get you nekkid. It took me a while to find it. You have to drag & drop your stuff back into the closet if you "try it on" & decide not to wear it.

One nice thing today was I got $1500 - it said "this is for helping your sister in a fight" or something like that.

Clear your browser cache. Once you do, you'll see a little box in the top bar, with your character name, head shot, stats, and a bar that shows how much more influence you need for your next level.

I don't like the fact that they're using real sorority names either. As it is, I won't dress my avatar in the Sigma Kappa sweatshirt. (Although a RL Sigma Kappa in my house wears her letters proudly ;) )

My FB was the new version yesterday, but it's back to the old today. Might be working the kinx out.

Yea I was wondering about the real sorority letters on the main menu...they must have had to have gotten permission from Tri Delt, AKDPhi, Theta and ADPi right? I dont like having the real letters up there, but I dont mind the new menu as a whole.

Hi, all. This is my first post. :) I noticed the greek letter combinations in the game, too, and it bothers me as well (assuming that the creators don't have permission). I contacted the creators to ask if they have permission to use them. I'm currently waiting for a reply...

I have 633 members and every person that I add or adds me I look on their profile to see if they are actually in a real sorority....I would only say about 15% of my SL sisters are in real life sororities (based on their profile info).

Welcome to GC! Let us know what the creators' reply is, although I doubt they will..
